First kiss?

Feng Mian recalled the day in the company when Zhang Liang suddenly came close to her. Even though she had to admit that she didn't want to be so close to him, that memory is still fresh in her mind. That was her first kiss, but it was also Zhang Liang's first kiss?

Zhang Liang furrowed his brows. "Why are you prying into my business like that?"

"So answer me?"

"Not telling you."

Right now, Feng Mian already buried her face and looked away. Zhang Xue watched her reaction amusedly. He looked at Zhang Liang. "Even if you don't tell me, your little wife's reaction already told me."

Zhang Liang moved to cover Feng Mian's expression from Zhang Xue while sending a glare to his brother. From what he remembered, she disliked his touch back then, so he hadn't been asking her to act more than calling him brother and living together. In case she had a pale face again, he better covered her up from Zhang Xue's gaze.

"Hey, it's almost time for the fireworks!" Zhang Ai reminded. Her hand was still holding onto the ice cream. "Let's go to watch!"

"Wait, it hadn't been set yet!" Zhang Yi looked at the butler, who immediately worked to arrange the fireworks. "And Xiao Ai, I don't want you to get too close to the fireworks."

"I know, Dad. I'm not a child."

"You're still like a child at times."

Lu Di La stood up. "Since it's time for fireworks, I want to wash my hands first."

"Me too!" Feng Mian decided that it would be safer to stay near Lu Di La. If she stayed here any longer, she might get caught in unwanted conversation like before again.

As the two girls disappeared into the house while Zhang Ai and Zhang Yi were supervising the fireworks, Zhang Xue's smile and pitiful expression had disappeared. He looked at his brother.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Oh?" Zhang Liang picked the wine glass. "You noticed?"

"I have lived near you for over two decades in my life, so I know you very well. Did you make a deal with her?" Zhang Xue asked. When he was serious, no one would be able to differentiate him with Zhang Liang. Their expressions looked so similar to each other.

Zhang Liang nodded, not hiding anything from his older brother. "I need some time to develop the company."

"Company again."

"What again?"

Zhang Xue sighed. He leaned back on the chair. "You're always like that. Do you like studying and working so much that you always seem to forget everything else aside from those two?"

"I wouldn't need to work so hard if only my older brother is not so lazy to manage the company."

"I'm not suited for that," Zhang Xue replied with a grimace. He glanced in the direction of Zhang Yi and Zhang Ai. "If Father knew about this, he'll be angry."

"I'll deal with it later when it happens."

"Don't overstep your bounds."

"I won't. You know that I know my limit, right?" Zhang Liang sipped the wine from the glass calmly.

Zhang Xue nodded. "I know. That's why I'm worried about you. You're always so rational that I'm worried your EQ is very bad."

"Unfortunately, I think that I have a standard EQ."

"Indeed." If he didn't, he wouldn't be able to be the president of the sweet company and several others.

Zhang Liang put the glass on the table before him. "I don't have time for Father's nagging. It'll be very busy for the next few months for me."

"So you dragged her?"

"I just made a deal that benefited both of us."

Zhang Xue sighed. He stood up. "You should remember that both of you live in a completely different world. Anyway, congratulations for finally having your first kiss. You make me lost my bet."

Zhang Liang shook his head. He still remembered that Zhang Xue made a bet regarding his relationship with a woman before. Thinking about it, that annoying twins of his must be betting that he would never have his first kiss.

He also stood up when he saw Feng Mian and Lu Di La walking in their direction.

'Indeed, we live in a completely different world, which is why we can't be together.'

Feng Mian followed Lu Di La to the bathroom as she still didn't know the way. Upon reaching the location, she immediately headed to the sink and washed her face. Geez, her reddened cheek must be visible.

Lu Di La laughed when she saw Feng Mian's action. "Don't bother with those two. The two brothers are just a bit childish when they met."

"I can see that, Da Jie."

"Are you thinking that they're very different from how the public see?" Lu Di La stepped forward and washed her hand. Her lips curled up in amus.e.m.e.nt.

Feng Mian nodded. Even though she knew that public images and someone's real personality might be different, she never realized that it would be this large. The contrast between the views she had before and after meeting was simply too large.

"Xue is just a bit of double face person. You'll understand more when you interact with him in the future. He might look easy going, but that's not the only side on him."

Feng Mian blinked. She wiped her hand and face. Did she enter a complicated family now?

Lu Di La had finished washing her hand. "There's no need to worry so much. You'll get to know us bit by bit."

"Yes. Thank you, Da Jie."

"In the meantime, let's enjoy playing with the fireworks."

"Of course!"
