Privacy policy
We keep what a reading app needs to work and nothing more. This page says exactly what that is, where it goes, how long it stays, and how to get rid of it.
Who is responsible
NovelFull.Audio is the data controller for everything described here. Reach us at [email protected] for any question, request, or complaint about your data.
What we keep
Your account
If you sign in, we hold what your sign-in provider hands us: an email address and an account id. Signing in with Google or Apple gives us the same two things — we never see your password. Apple’s “Hide My Email” works normally here; a relay address is all we get, and all we need.
What you read
The books on your shelf, which chapter you reached, and when you last read. Signed in, this syncs so a new phone opens where the old one left off. Signed out, it never leaves the device — the app makes no account for you behind your back.
Coins and purchases
Your coin balance, daily check-ins, which chapters you unlocked, and whether a subscription is active and until when. Payments are handled by Apple, Google, RevenueCat or PayPal — they tell us that a subscription exists, never your card number. For PayPal we keep the subscription id and the email PayPal reports as the payer, so that a cancel request can be matched to the right account.
Support messages
What you write in Help & support, together with the app version and the phone model and OS version it was sent from, so we can reproduce what went wrong. A reply reaches you as a push notification if you allowed them, and inside the ticket either way.
Diagnostics
Crash reports and basic usage events, through Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics — which screens are opened, what broke. When a chapter, a voice, or a translation fails to load, the app also sends us a short note of what failed (the kind of error, the site or step, the app version). These carry a device identifier, not your name, and are used only to find and fix faults.
What leaves your device
Chapter text, when you press play
The paragraph being read aloud is sent to a speech service to be turned into audio — Microsoft’s speech service for our cloud voices, or nowhere at all if you pick a voice already on your phone. Nothing else about you is attached to it.
Chapter text, when it is translated
Chapters and titles that are not in English are sent, in pieces, to Google’s translation service and come back translated. Only the text travels; no account or device information goes with it. Turn off auto-translate and nothing is sent.
Nothing, when you open your own EPUB or MOBI
Files you import stay on the phone. We do not upload them, read them, or keep a copy — the shelf of your own books is yours alone, and it does not sync. Only the paragraphs you play are sent for speech, as above.
Nothing, when you read on someone else’s site
“Bring your own” opens the site in a browser inside the app. You are on their website and their privacy policy applies there; we neither store what you read nor add it to our catalogue. The only thing we keep is which of those sites you opened last, and that stays on the device so the list is in a useful order.
Ads
Where ads appear
The free app shows ads, served by Google AdMob: a banner in the player, a rewarded ad you can choose to watch for coins, and after a stretch of listening a short ad or a countdown before the next chapter. Premium removes all of them.
Personalisation is your choice
On iOS, the system asks whether apps may track you — say no and the ads become non-personalised. We do not ask again if you refuse. On Android, ad personalisation follows your Google ads settings. AdMob may use your advertising identifier under Google’s policy; we do not share your account or reading data with it.
How long we keep it
Account, shelf, coins and purchases: for as long as the account exists. Support messages: until the ticket is closed and for twelve months after, so a follow-up still has its context. Crash and fault reports: ninety days. Text sent for speech or translation is not stored by us at all.
What you can do
Take it all back
In the app: Me → Delete account. It removes your account and everything we hold with it — shelf, coins, unlocks, tickets. It is immediate and it is not reversible. Your purchases with Apple or Google remain in their records under their policies.
Cancel a subscription
Bought through the App Store or Google Play: cancel in that store. Bought through PayPal: Me → Premium → Cancel subscription, or write to us. You keep Premium until the period you paid for ends.
Stop the syncing
Log out. The app keeps working — your place in every book is kept on the device — and nothing further is sent.
See, correct, or export your data
Write to us and we will send you what we hold, fix what is wrong, or delete it. Where the law where you live gives you further rights — for instance under the GDPR or the CCPA — you can exercise them the same way, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
The rest
Third parties we rely on
Google Play services and AdMob; Firebase (authentication, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications); Apple and Google sign-in; RevenueCat and PayPal for payments; Microsoft’s speech service for cloud voices; Google’s translation service for translated chapters. Each holds only what its job needs, under its own policy. Some of them operate outside your country; they are bound by their own safeguards for such transfers.
Security
Everything between the app and us travels over HTTPS. Access to our servers is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfect; if we ever learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you.
Children
This app is not built for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep anything from them. Write to us and it goes.
Changes
If this policy changes in substance, the date above changes with it. The app links to this page rather than carrying its own copy, so there is no second version to go stale.
