Now with the big bald man literally shot into the abyss of space, Garou landed on a pile of debris and confronted the various heroes of the Hero Association who had huddled around together. The remaining heroes immediately realized that the man standing before them was the source of the massive energy explosion of just moments before. Only the S-class heroes remained on the spot, while the lower ranks began to run away in fear.
Seeing this, Garou questioned whether he had finally achieved his ultimate goal of becoming absolute evil. Grateful for the strength he had received, Garou looked into the sky and ominously said, "Thank you."
Bang, being one of the heroes who chose to stay rather than run away, confronted Garou and asked if a monster had done something to him. Garou then revealed to Bang that he hadn't truly been tricked by the entity that had approached him earlier, and instead had known all along that the strange figure who took the form of Bang wasn't actually his former master. Regardless, Garou was informed that simply coming into contact with the entity was enough for him to be greatly influenced by it. However, Garou denied that he had become a puppet, and stated that what he was doing was of his own free will.
After making this clear to everyone, Garou decided that it was now time to conduct evil.
As Garou approached the remaining heroes, Child Emperor and Waganma started to bleed from their noses. Moments later, the two children collapsed onto the ground, seemingly dead from the effects of Garou's radiation. Despite Garou stating that he was in control of his own actions, Bang still believed that there was something evil within him, and that that evil was now controlling him.
Suddenly, the big man himself, rank one S-class hero Blast, teleported into the area and introduced himself to a surprised Garou. He attempted to reason with him, stating that he had been controlled by a mysterious entity known as God, and emphasized that in Garou's current form, any attack unleashed would endanger all life on Earth.
Although Garou still retained his careless demeanour, he was somewhat intrigued by what Blast had just said, and asked what he should do about it. Blast offered to transport Garou into another dimension, but the awakened Garou simply declined the offer, and instead boasted about how his mere presence was now causing people to die, believing that he had finally become the true symbol of fear.
Bang attempted to stop Garou from proceeding. But suddenly Genos, who was literally nothing but a damn torso at the moment, used the remaining bits of power he had left and hurled himself towards the seemingly invincible enemy, headbutting him in the chest and stating that there was another radiation-resistant hero he had forgotten about. However, Garou easily grabbed the hero by the hair and went to finish him off.
Before he could do anything, Blast intervened and began to fight Garou off himself. Blast fired his cannon towards Garou, but the hero hunter quickly dodged the blast while commenting that it was a lame attack — which was funny, given all the hype around Blast. You would expect him to have insane abilities, but he pretty much just had a pair of boxing gloves.
However, a portal appeared above Garou and transported him to where Blast was, followed by a powerful punch from Blast called the Gravity Knuckle straight to Garou's face, forcing him to release Genos. Blast summoned another portal to where Garou was and redirected his trajectory to have him meet yet another punch straight to the face. Blast continued this pattern as he rapidly pummelled Garou in the face, all the while slowly bringing his portals closer together.
Before long, Blast quickly sealed the two portals, with the intent of sealing Garou within another dimension. However, much to Blast's shock, Garou emerged from a portal of his own making. Having mimicked Blast's own powers and techniques, he now wielded Blast's Gravity Knuckle in his right hand and his own Life Eradication Fist, Mark: Nuclear Fission in the other.
He used both of these to unleash a rapid barrage of attacks on Blast, doing his best to try and overwhelm the number one hero. This forced Blast on the defensive, as he summoned multiple teleportation rings to redirect Garou's attacks elsewhere. Another portal was then summoned by Blast above the sky, which absorbed the remaining explosions in order to prevent further destruction to the environment.
Nonetheless, the utter force of the attack sent both Garou and Blast shooting away from each other. Noting the extreme energy being put off, Blast feared that if this battle continued for much longer, then not only would the gates that seemingly keep God at bay weaken, but everything on the planet would die from the radiation Garou was emitting.
Garou commended Blast, as he saw that he was not the number one hero for nothing, but he also immediately realized something else, and decided to shift his focus back onto Saitama. Realizing that the bald king would soon return, and that the hero had not been going all out while fighting earlier, Garou decided to kill Genos in order to draw out the full power of Saitama.
Garou then impaled Genos through the chest and ripped out his core. Only a second or two later, as Garou held his heart in his hand, Saitama finally returned back to Earth. As he stood there in pure bewilderment and shock, a black liquid slowly began to pour down like rain, due to the nuclear fallout.
Seeing his deadpan expression, Garou taunted him by throwing Genos's depleted core at him. Saitama caught it and stared blankly, remembering Genos's previous words about how he is always on time, denying them by stating that he is usually always late. Saitama, enraged and with a serious expression on his face, unleashed his first Serious Punch towards Garou, who immediately responded with a Serious Punch of his own.
Having copied Saitama once again using Mode Saitama, Blast immediately and fearfully realized that the fallout from the two colliding attacks would completely destroy the Earth. In an attempt to try and save the planet, he summoned a portal beneath the two. And just as the fists collided, they were transported away up into space above the upper atmosphere of the Earth.
However, the kinetic energy that erupted from their Serious Punch squared was so powerful that Blast's dimensional gate was unable to sustain it. As Blast came to the realization that he might be unable to angle the vector of energy away from Earth, three of Blast's allies came to his aid. With all four of them there, they were able to create an opening inside of the barrier that launched Saitama and Garou forty-three light minutes away from the Earth, while the shock wave of energy itself was directed in the completely opposite direction, which resulted in the destruction of thousands upon thousands of numerous star systems seen in the night sky.
