Emerging from the shadows behind him, Bug God and Royal Ripper, who had been watching all this time, decided that he wasn't worthy to be called a monster or to receive the powers, after seeing him get defeated so easily by a random no-name caped baldy. Royal Ripper revealed that Gyoro-Gyoro had sent him and Bug God to follow and monitor Garou.
After observing his behaviour, they now had doubts about Garou's true intent, questioning whether he was a true monster or not. Garou then proceeded to rebuke Royal Ripper to little use, and the latter demanded that he kill Tareo. Garou inquired about the reasoning behind the request, to which Bug God replied that one must leave behind what makes them human in order to qualify as a monster.
Royal Ripper reaffirmed the statement and continued, adding the fact that Garou might not be the best candidate after being defeated by that bald man. Garou then proceeded to tell Tareo to go home, but the boy was unable to do so because of the fear crawling over him. Due to this, Tareo was berated by Garou, who then slapped the hero catalogue out of his hand, saying that the boy needed to get stronger during times like these.
While he was doing so, Royal Ripper attacked Tareo, but the attack was quickly stopped by Garou, who hoisted Royal Ripper up into the air by his blades and swiftly delivered a kick to the opponent's abdomen. Royal Ripper flew up into the air as a result of this, but was quick to get back to his feet by thrusting his blades into the ground and performing a somersault with the two blades acting as an anchoring point.
The move severely disfigured his arms, but Royal Ripper restored his limbs back to their original state by twisting them back. Garou then yelled at Tareo, telling him to run, with the boy complying as he was seen dashing away. As he was doing so, Royal Ripper announced Garou to be an enemy, and Garou assumed his stance as the two monsters began charging at him.
As the two monsters charged at Garou, the hero hunter managed to deliver a powerful punch towards Bug God's torso. Unfortunately, this minced his own hand in the process. Royal Ripper then followed up and performed a chain of frenzied slashes aimed at Garou, but they were all dodged or reflected. As Garou was busy with Royal Ripper's chain of attacks, Bug God approached him from behind, but was bombarded with a flurry of deflected slashes originating from Royal Ripper.
The monster was undeterred by this, as he quickly pounded Garou into the ground and then flung him onto some electrical cables, which briefly electrocuted him. Garou immediately rebounded himself towards the monsters after this, as they leapt towards him as well. The three then eventually entered a stalemate, with Garou now confident in his abilities to defeat his opponents.
It then transpired that Tareo had actually been captured by the sludge jellyfish. Garou was briefly distracted by this occurrence, so Royal Ripper took the chance and brutally slashed him in the back. Bug God also subsequently slashed him in the torso, and he was ultimately assailed with a series of slashes that left him in a pool of blood on the ground.
In between all this, Tareo was taken to the Monster Association, and every cadre and demon-level threat inside the association was made ready for the upcoming battle.
Back up on the surface, Garou awoke in the spot where he had been abandoned, and began to move on. Elsewhere in the city, he made his way towards the Monster Association's hideout, and as per usual he was caught on Gyoro-Gyoro's psychic radar.
Gyoro-Gyoro, who obviously thought he was dead, ordered the other monsters to go and grab hold of the intruder, allowing them to help themselves to a little bit of pre-battle feast to get themselves pumped up for their upcoming struggle. During this same stretch of time, most of the heroes who were taking part in the initial raid on the Monster Association went over pretty much all of their plans.
Making his own entrance first, though, Garou broke into the facility just in time to save Tareo from Royal Ripper. Despite being stabbed in the gut by the monster, Garou simply punched Royal Ripper's head straight off with one blow, killing him in the process, before using Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist to shred the rest of the monster to complete pieces. He and Tareo then made their escape, only to encounter two more monsters, who were obviously quickly dispatched.
The hero hunter then devoured one of the limbs of the monsters to replenish himself before proceeding with Tareo. As they made their escape, Tareo told him that there was another child in need of rescuing. But obviously that wasn't Garou's concern, and he hadn't actually come here to save Tareo either.
However, before the two could continue on their escape, they were confronted by Overgrown Rover, and quickly realized that the dog would not harm them if they stepped quietly back without making noise.
Garou swiftly made his escape with Tareo, not alerting the monolith of a dog, only to instantly run into the monsters Showerhead, Rat, and Unicorn. Garou, who literally couldn't be bothered with these subpar monsters, smashed a hole straight through the pathetic Showerhead.
Kicking the battle off, Showerhead shot at Garou with a burst of boiling water, with Rat throwing the unicorn monster at Garou, who ended up landing directly behind him. However, remember how Garou had just been gapping it away from the dimensional dog that navigated solely off sound? A monstrous growl soon vibrated through the corridor, followed by a gigantic heat blast that completely fried the three pathetic monsters, leaving Garou with a quick moment to escape with Tareo.
Upon the surface, Saitama chilled out, taking the shaking ground for another earthquake before going back to his reading. Back down below, Garou hopped around the crumbling underground while running for his life and yelling at Tareo to hurry up. However, the little man just wasn't fast enough, and Garou was forced to take a point-blank, life-threatening blow directly from Rover, which sent the already beaten and bruised hero hunter shooting through the underground floors towards the lower levels of the association.
Getting back up after the attack, Garou put everything he had into one more move and tried to blast back the dimensional pup. Yet he was quickly demoralized, realizing that he had no effect on the creature. Instead, the hero hunter took yet another blow and continued his uncontrollable destructive path, once again flying through multiple levels of the underground base until he landed on the floor directly in front of the one and only Gyoro-Gyoro.
