Chapter 6Sparks Over the City

Bomb quickly figured out that Bang wouldn't use it, as his brother was slowly being pushed back. Though in the fight, it was actually explained that Bang felt like he was getting through to Garou with his fists, and he told Bomb to watch this carefully. He kept on fighting and attempted to reach Garou by using the voice hidden within the fists.

As he tried speaking to Garou, he personally decided that he would quit being a hero after this incident was fixed, and expressed his desire of once again being Garou's sensei.

The intense battle between Garou and Bang continued, with Bang being the one at a disadvantage, but briefly gaining the upper hand by using his grappling abilities and kicking Garou away. Garou eventually demonstrated his Roaring Aura Sky-Ripping Fist, to the shock of both Bang and Bomb. Darting forward, he clashed with Bang in a rapid show of insane blows. The intense shock waves generated from Garou's multitude of techniques were so powerful that they turned everything within the vicinity into complete powder. Seeing this, Bomb remarked that if Bang took a direct hit from the hero hunter, he would die, as the shock waves would course through and wreck his weak body.

However, Bang was able to effectively avoid the devastating technique Garou was throwing at him, until he attempted to land a final attack of his own on his ex-student. Bang successfully landed his punch into Garou's face, drawing a noticeable amount of blood from him and cracking his face, while Garou simply grazed Bang's cheek. But the shock wave from his blow was strong enough to cause a fair amount of damage to the old man, causing his former master to finally fall, defeated after a tough fight.

Bomb expressed his concern over his brother's condition, having seen him fall, and then noticed that he was smiling. Fuhrer Ugly was approaching his brother, delighted at the fact that he had finally found Bang to claim his revenge. Fuhrer Ugly stood in front of Bang now, who lay defeated on the ground, and wondered if Garou was the one who had beaten him.

Garou, with his skin and his left eye shattered, began roaring and charging towards Fuhrer Ugly, and actually managed to rip a hole through the monster's body with a kick.

As King was closing his eyes and shouting the name of his attack to intimidate his opponent, Garou appeared and proceeded to dash in the direction of Platinum Sperm, sending the fusion flying with a single kick. Realizing that something was up, Evil Natural Water sensed Garou's murderous intent and attacked him with two water jets, only for the hero hunter to deflect them both and begin pummelling the water monster with multiple blows. With all of these attacks happening in literally the blink of an eye, King wasn't even aware of Garou's presence, and was taken by shock at what had just happened.

Falling backwards himself, King was utterly confused about what had just occurred. Over with the monsters, Fuhrer Ugly was shocked at seeing the fatal injury he had just received, before collapsing and having his entire body melt away.

Standing there, having already defeated the monsters, Garou quickly took notice of a wormhole that emerged near him and released Saitama, Flashy Flash, and Manako, who were all seemingly surprised that they had been teleported to the surface by Blast.

Being one of the only heroes left, King was delighted to see that Saitama had finally shown up. While Flashy Flash observed his surroundings and wondered if the other heroes had all been defeated, he quickly realized that the threat of Garou was near. Saitama, meanwhile, rushed over towards Genos, expressing concern about the cyborg's beaten condition. While there with him, Saitama went on to ask Genos if Garou was the one responsible for his destroyed state, with Genos responding that it had actually been a Monster Association executive member.

Having just regained his senses himself, Garou was confused about his new form, noting that he did not remember ever surfacing from underground, and had honestly just been dreaming about sparring with Bang in the past. To his surprise, Flashy Flash appeared out of nowhere, throwing a kick directly at Garou, with him narrowly being able to dodge it. Instantly, the hero hunter recognized him as the S-class hero ranked thirteen.

Flashy Flash asked him if he was the monster king boss, to which the hero hunter answered that he had nothing to do with the Monster Association, and revealed to him that his name was actually Garou.

In an instant, Platinum Sperm interrupted them by simultaneously passing through and pummelling them both. Having seen the change in Garou, he stated that he was disappointed, as even though he had monsterized so much, he still did not have the courage to join the monsters.

Both being unfazed by the sudden attack, Flashy Flash and Garou started a free-for-all battle with Platinum Sperm, allowing the three of them to exchange extremely powerful blows at incredible speeds.

Elsewhere, King finally reconvened with Saitama and the heavily damaged Genos. Right after that, the battle between Garou, Flashy Flash, and Platinum Sperm generated a geometric structure of light covering the sky, due to them moving at unimaginably fast speeds. It was mistakenly believed by most of those who were observing the battle from afar to be the work of Tatsumaki and the other esper, with only a few aware that those were the sparks of the battle between Flashy Flash, Garou, and Platinum Sperm.

During the fight, Platinum Sperm suggested that Garou team up with him to defeat Flashy Flash, pointing out that the hero had been weakened due to losing a sword. Garou, being Garou, pretended to agree with him, but as soon as Platinum let his guard down, he was punched in the face by the hero hunter.

Just then, Garou turned it up a notch and began to showcase his Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist, a fighting style that was a combination of many martial arts he had learned throughout his battles, which, as he used it against his two foes, managed to overwhelm both Flashy Flash and Platinum Sperm.

As the battle continued, Flashy Flash started to get overwhelmed, and was just shocked at the fact that in a single day he had encountered four people who had surpassed his supposedly unmatched speed. He desperately tried to best Garou and Platinum Sperm, but failed, eventually being defeated by the latter.

With only two monsters remaining in this battle now, they resumed their accelerated bout, exchanging a multitude of blows in the sky within only 1.3 milliseconds, before Garou managed to land a stronger hit and sent Platinum Sperm flying into the ground below. As Platinum Sperm quickly got up and called out to Garou, he was finally defeated by the hero hunter, who instantly phased through him while delivering a killing blow that caused him to explode into a multitude of bits.
