After a while the guys gathered in a circle on the field and decided that the front line would stay at four people, as usual. The remaining three would be support. When the front line ran out of mana, they would switch places.
Isamu explained all this to the students, who were asking how many recovery items they wouldn't be taking. They should take more mass lanes. Judging by the size of the entrance, zone attacks would be tough. Isamu asked his friend to increase his magic defence as well. He replied that he understood everything.
Meanwhile the masked girl frowned and looked irritated. Her friends nearby were saying how mesmerizing her skills were, or how amazing. God, he looks so cool when he gives orders.
The guys discussed among themselves that they needed to get closer, because they couldn't get a good look at Isamu. At that moment they started pushing each other, and one of the girls almost fell. She accidentally dropped a bag of jewellery, and it fell to the ground.
The guys started discussing what was wrong with her. Was she crazy?
Isamu smiled and offered her his hand, asking if she was all right. She answered yes, and his friend Tsukasa apologized to the little princess, saying that his body was quite strong, wasn't it? Isamu said that was funny, coming from him, and her friend ran up to the girl and asked if she was all right. It was good that no one had been hurt.
The girl remarked what a gentleman he was — not at all like those self-confident, half-baked upstarts with high skill ranks.
Isamu thanked everyone for coming today. He would try his best, and he wanted to be an example to them. He also hoped that what they saw and heard today would fuel their future. They were the future of this country.
The one standing behind him clapped his hands and pondered what it meant to be a top-ranked person and to be truly self-possessed enough to care for those below you.
All right, the demonstration was over, and they needed to head to the nature square. Time for the principal's lecture.
But it seemed to him that he had seen that girl somewhere before. He noticed the same masked girl again and thought about it.
When all the guys had gathered in the designated area, the men announced that they were clearing the dungeon, and that the preparations for it began with their daily routine.
Akutagawa was sitting behind a tree when Yui came up to him and said she'd found him. He'd been skipping classes. What a rebel, isn't he?
Akutagawa asked what about her — should she really be wandering around outside her classroom? Yui replied that they'd just say she was sick again. He'd been looking at that girl in the mask, hadn't he?
Akutagawa replied, "Yes. I was just thinking about her."
Yui started screaming. He's obsessed. She knew guys liked them big. Damn it. She knew she should have acted when she saw that beehive. If she were stung in the chest, it would swell tenfold.
Tears welled up in her eyes, and Akutagawa shouted at her to wait. Size doesn't matter, and if her breasts were enlarged tenfold she'd look like a monster. Yui was upset and said he'd called her a monster, a flat-chested monster. He asked why she only heard what she wanted to hear.
At that moment the teacher announced that daily training was important, meaning that their daily lives were already part of clearing the dungeon. They must maintain a constant fighting spirit during training, no matter who they were or where they were.
At that moment a bright flame appeared above them, and all the students were surprised, not understanding what it was. They screamed in fear at the teacher, and Kenji snatched his loudspeaker and shouted that the teacher's speech was over. Now everyone should listen to him.
All the students realized it was the older brother, Kenji, the strongest in the academy. They thought he'd been expelled. And Kenji screamed, "Nobody move. Got it? If you want to leave, you'll have to go through me." And he was a B-rank.
It was good that they were all obedient children. Kenji said he shouldn't have gone that far. And when he turned to the matter at hand, he asked whether he was still clinging to his reputation just to get into a guild after graduation — that's why he was weak. Kenji screamed, "Akutagawa, right? It seems my little brother was under his thumb. When a guy with no rank makes fun of him, then he'll have to show what happens when you challenge high-ranking ones, right? When he goes up against someone much higher than him, he needs to be shown the consequences, right? He'll get hit by every single student in this school. Ten of them."
Akutagawa was dumbfounded, and Kenji screamed that if he didn't come out, he'd burn every single one of them to death. Yui uttered Akutagawa's name in fear, trembling.
And when Kenji came up to him, he said that his face was so gloomy — so he should just be a good punching bag. If he didn't hurry, everyone would burn.
