Synopsis

Elliot Vance went to prison for an arson he did not commit, while the alpha he loved stood in his kitchen with his hands in his pockets and said nothing. Three years, four months and eleven days later, he walks out of Fremont with forty dollars, a pair of homemade gloves, and one name he has been sharpening the whole time. Objects do not lie to him. They hold what happened and wait. But an unfamiliar alpha is parked across the bus station lot, he has been asking quiet questions about Elliot's case for a year, and he says he already knows what the lighter remembers.
