Synopsis

Ethan Reed was born with a supreme bone he never managed to awaken. At sixteen, his sister Chloe carves it out of his chest in front of the whole clan and presses it into the hands of Julian, the outsider everyone calls the chosen one. Bleeding on the hall floor, Ethan is offered one dull grey spirit bone as compensation and told to be grateful. He throws it back at the elder's feet instead, and a chime only he can hear answers him. Whatever he refuses, discards or gives away returns to him a billion times over.
