Elsewhere in the mansion, Kenta was confessing his concerns to his co-workers. He admitted that he felt insecure, that he worried he was no longer doing his job properly. It almost felt as though someone had replaced him.
His co-workers were immediately outraged.
"Who would dare replace you?"
They even offered to deal with the situation themselves.
Kenta calmed them down quickly and explained that the boss had brought a complete stranger into the house, and that ever since then everything had changed. He sighed. It was obvious, he said, how much the young master had changed because of that newcomer. He also mentioned that a new English teacher would be arriving that day, which had already disrupted the entire morning schedule.
One of the staff volunteered to go and greet the teacher. Before anyone could leave, they were informed that the teacher had already arrived.
The new English tutor, Maya Kubota, came in with a friendly smile, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere as he introduced himself. The men looked slightly surprised by his relaxed manner. Kenta introduced himself politely as the person responsible for the young master's education.
Maya explained that he had come early because he was eager to meet both the boss and the young master. After checking a few messages, Kenta asked him to head upstairs to Thomas's room, and explained where it was. The two of them left the kitchen after saying goodbye politely to everyone.
Meanwhile, Minjun had given in to his impulses. Alone, he was trying desperately to relieve the thoughts he could no longer control, doing everything he could to stay quiet. In the middle of that embarrassing moment, he swore to himself that after today he would never think about Daiki again.
As Maya reached the second floor, he heard strange noises coming from one of the rooms. Concerned, he knocked on the door and asked politely for permission to enter. He received no response, so he opened the door slowly.
The moment he stepped inside, he found a completely undressed Minjun in an incredibly embarrassing situation.
Shocked, Maya apologised at once, slammed the door shut, and hurried away with a bright red face.
Inside the bathroom, Minjun panicked. He blamed himself for forgetting to lock the door.
Outside, Maya remained frozen in disbelief, wondering over and over what exactly he had just witnessed. The memory kept replaying in his mind, and made him blush even harder.
Later, Kenta showed Maya around the mansion. He explained that the daily schedule could change at any moment, depending on the family's circumstances. If Maya ever needed anything, he could either speak to Kenta directly or ask the kitchen assistant. The man officially worked in the kitchen, Kenta said, but he was reliable and capable of handling a great many other responsibilities as well.
As Kenta went on explaining where everything was, including the bathroom, Maya became increasingly uncomfortable. Every mention of the bathroom reminded him of the scene he had accidentally witnessed. He could not imagine ever using that bathroom again without remembering it.
Trying to force the memory away, he slapped his own cheeks lightly and promised himself that he would forget what had happened and remain professional. Watching this strange behaviour, Kenta could not help feeling confused.
When it was finally time for Thomas's English lesson, Kenta informed the young master.
Instead of going willingly, Thomas hid behind Minjun's legs and clung to him.
"Mama." The way he said it sounded more like a desperate plea for help than anything else.
Hearing that, Maya blinked in surprise and quietly repeated the word to himself.
Kenta introduced Minjun to the new teacher, mentioning that Maya had probably already heard about him. Doing his best to ignore the awkward memory from earlier, Maya introduced himself politely and explained that he would be responsible for Thomas's English lessons.
Minjun greeted him politely in return. Immediately afterwards he began worrying about how often the two of them would have to see each other, after such an embarrassing first meeting. He briefly considered hiding in the kitchen during every lesson, then remembered that the kitchen was not in use during the mornings, and somehow that felt even more dangerous than facing the teacher himself.
Minjun decided that the best plan was simply to ignore the teacher.
A moment later Kenta interrupted his thoughts and called the teacher and Thomas to begin the lesson. Thomas, however, clung stubbornly to Minjun's leg and insisted that he come along too. Everyone was surprised and a little embarrassed by the situation, but in the end Kenta asked Minjun to accompany them. Thomas was overjoyed, and pulled Minjun excitedly out of the room.
As they walked through the mansion, Minjun was surprised to discover that there was a kindergarten classroom inside the house. Thomas proudly showed him the room and pointed out his own tiny chair, which Minjun found adorable.
Sitting beside him, Minjun noticed an even smaller chair near the blackboard, and asked what it was for. Thomas explained that it belonged to Kenta.
The image of the serious, upright Kenta perched on such a tiny chair made Minjun burst out laughing.
Watching from a distance, the teacher remarked that Minjun and Thomas looked as though they had known each other for a very long time. He admitted that he felt a little jealous, and then changed the subject.
Kenta suggested that instead of focusing entirely on lessons, the teacher should spend the day trying to get closer to the young master. Encouraged by the idea, the teacher declared confidently that they would become great friends.
Unfortunately, despite trying all day long, every attempt to bond with Thomas ended in failure. The little boy refused to interact with him and stayed glued to Minjun's side the entire time.
By the afternoon the teacher had become completely discouraged, and complained sadly that the young master had ignored him all day.
Kenta comforted him by saying that it had actually been a good first day. He explained that when he had first met Thomas, the boy had hidden under the blankets and cried without stopping. Now Thomas no longer avoided people, and no longer became frightened when someone came close.
Looking over at Thomas playing happily with Minjun, Kenta admitted that he had never seen the boy smile so brightly before.
