Later on, So-hyun tries paying the bill for her team party, but the receptionist reveals it is already covered. So-hyun demands to know who paid it. The information is strictly confidential, though, leaving her totally baffled. So-hyun tries cancelling the mystery payment, but hits a solid wall. The receptionist explains it is quite impossible without the original card.
Completely stumped, she wonders who could have possibly paid such a massive bill. Deciding to solve this weird puzzle later, she heads outside into the night. As she walks down the street, she suddenly freezes. Right there under a bright billboard, she catches an unbelievable sight. Park Min-jun is locked in a very close embrace with the actress Jang Yu-ran.
Seeing this play out, So-hyun grits her teeth. She has finally hit her absolute limit. Overwhelmed and frustrated, So-hyun feels like she must be seeing things. Deciding she cannot hold out anymore, she grabs her phone to call for some help. But before she can even dial, a hand suddenly snatches the device away. She looks up, stunned to find Jung Ji-hun looming right over her.
He reminds her he told her to come outside. Where does she think she is going? He grabs her arm, backing her straight against a wall. Leaning in close, he recalls her own words about being attracted to him. She is completely speechless. He leans in even closer, whispering that she also admitted his interest definitely piqued hers. Now completely flustered, So-hyun tries pushing him away.
She insists she is in a rush, but Ji-hun is not letting go. He calls her a tasty morsel right in front of him. So-hyun snaps back. Min-jun is not her lover. With a smug grin, Ji-hun says he does not keep pets like that anyway. Then, in a tone leaving zero room for argument, he tells her to follow him.
He turns and walks into the night. Later, horns blare as the car cuts through the city streets. The silence inside is suffocatingly heavy. Ji-hun is the first one to speak. He coolly asks So-hyun why she is staring so hard, joking that she might melt his face right off. Completely flustered, she quickly looks away. He then turns the tables, openly admiring her pretty features, from her eyes to her skin.
Feeling challenged, So-hyun starts her own inspection. She sizes up his impressive height and build. She reluctantly admits it. The guy looks good. That thought alone makes her blush, feeling the heat rise in this confined space. So-hyun is absolutely losing her cool in the back seat. She thinks this whole situation is driving her totally crazy.
Finally breaking the tense silence, she asks when they are going to get there. After a long crawl through heavy traffic, the car finally pulls up to their destination. It is not her apartment. It is the luxurious Gongan Business Hotel. Before she can even process that, Ji-hun is holding up a key card for room 1803. He has made his intentions crystal clear.
She has absolutely no choice but to follow him inside. The hotel room door clicks shut and the lock engages. They are sealed inside. In a flash, Ji-hun has her pinned right against the door. His presence is completely overwhelming. He gives her absolutely zero space to escape. He leans in until their faces are just a breath apart. So-hyun's mind is a total mess.
Unable to process the sudden move, she goes still as he closes the final bit of distance. A single question echoes in her mind. Why? Whatever is about to happen in this room, it is going to change absolutely everything.
Morning light floods the suite. So-hyun wakes up slow, definitely feeling the heavy after-effects of last night's actions. She groans, complaining about the glaring sun as she tries to stretch out, but then she freezes mid-motion.
Her eyes fly wide open. The memories come crashing right back. Turning her head, she spots Ji-hun sleeping soundly beside her. The full weight of what they actually did hits her all at once. She really stayed with him the entire night. Staring at his face in the morning glow, So-hyun gets hit with a pretty wild realization. The guy looks incredibly young.
That thought sends a real jolt through her, sobering her up from the lingering haze right away. Still, she refuses to overthink it. A hot shower washes away the doubts, leaving her feeling refreshed and totally clear-headed. She flashes a confident smirk. Forget meditation or spa days, she decides. A man is honestly the best possible cure for stress. So-hyun gets ready to head out.
A smug smile plays on her lips. She has to admit it was a highly satisfying night. Deciding to show a little appreciation, she picks up his expensive designer shirt and spots a missing button. After a quick moment of thought, she decides to just cover the cost for his repair and dry cleaning. She neatly places a few bills, the loose button, and a simple note right on the table.
It reads, "Last night was fun." With that, she turns around and confidently walks out. Her heels click sharply against the floor as she goes.
A shrill hotel phone ring suddenly shatters the quiet morning. Still half asleep, Ji-hun blindly slams his hand down to answer the call. A cheerful voice from the front desk lets him know that checkout time is here.
Not in the mood for polite chat, Ji-hun bluntly orders them to delay it. He hangs up with a heavy thud, rolling over. Sharp pain shoots through his head. He groans and clutches his skull. The full force of a killer hangover from last night is really kicking in. Ji-hun finally blinks his eyes open. His head is absolutely pounding. Staring up at the unfamiliar ceiling, he wonders what room he even ended up in.
He drags his aching body out of the massive bed, slowly making his way over to the mini fridge. Grabbing the nearest bottle of water, he chugs the whole thing down to clear his foggy mind. He can hardly believe he woke up in a spot like this. As his eyes scan the luxury suite, his gaze suddenly locks onto something left resting on the nearby table.
It is a small pile of cash, a single button, and a piece of paper. Confused, Ji-hun picks it up. It is blunt. Last night was fun. A slow smirk pulls at his face. Yeah, he had fun, too. He actually admits this is the very first time he has stayed this interested in a woman after the night ended.
Usually they fade from memory fast. But leaving behind cash, a loose button, and a message that bold, he finds himself completely hooked by her pure audacity. This woman is definitely one of a kind, and there is no way he is letting this go. Wasting zero time, Ji-hun gets right on the phone. His shirtless frame goes totally tense with purpose.
He calls up an associate, keeping his voice low and demanding. He brings up the table he paid for last night, asking for just one specific thing. The name of the woman sitting there with those guys. His expression goes dark, proving exactly how serious he is about tracking her down.
