She walked step by step toward Dylan Monroe, her powerful presence bearing down on Dylan Monroe until he could barely breathe.
Dylan Monroe trembled as he backed away. "Sister, you've misunderstood me. Actually, I— I was deceiving them. I don't love them at all. The one I've truly loved all along is you. I was actually trying to use them, to make them pursue Sebastian Sinclair so you wouldn't have to marry him."
Dylan Monroe tried to suppress the fear in his heart, then crawled crying toward Elena Monroe again. "You have to believe me. I did everything just to stay by your side."
But unfortunately, these words clearly didn't convince Elena Monroe. Elena Monroe's face turned cold. Once again, without hesitation, she kicked Dylan Monroe away.
"Shut up, you animal."
After receiving two kicks in a row, Dylan Monroe clutched his stomach in pain. "It hurts. How can you treat me like this?"
But the next moment, Elena Monroe was already in front of him, then kicked him hard in the stomach again.
"Dylan Monroe, do you know what I hate most?" Elena Monroe grabbed Dylan Monroe's hair tightly, forcing him to raise his head and look at her. "What I hate most is that at first I truly saw you as my real brother. In the orphanage, during the hardest days, I was so hungry my stomach ached. But I still gave you all the little food we had. Because you once said, 'Blood doesn't matter. Loving each other is what makes family. Even if the whole world abandons us, at least we have each other, and we'll always have each other.'"
Hearing these words, Grace Chen beside them suddenly became emotional.
"Oh my god, that animal said the exact same thing to me. That's why I fell in love with him. Because I was abandoned as a child. I had no family by my side. I longed to hold on to something. And that's when Dylan Monroe appeared. He said he loved me. He said even if the whole world abandoned me, it didn't matter, because we had each other."
As soon as these words ended, the remaining foster brides also spoke up one by one. He'd said the exact same thing to all of them.
"That animal. He exploited our psychology after being abandoned by our parents. Our desperate need for love. And deceived every single one of us."
The foster brides looked at each other. Comparing notes like this, they finally discovered they weren't Dylan Monroe's only one at all. They were just fish in Dylan Monroe's pond.
"Oh my god. Dylan Monroe played all of us. He deceived us using the exact same tactics."
Immediately, the foster brides erupted in fury. They could no longer contain their rage and took turns savagely beating Dylan Monroe. Dylan Monroe was punched and kicked by the entire group of foster brides. Soon he was covered in blood. But the foster brides still hadn't had enough. At this point, even killing Dylan Monroe couldn't resolve the hatred in their hearts.
Finally, old man Sinclair, fearing someone would die, ordered the servants to pull them apart.
"Dad, don't stop me. I have to kill this animal with my own hands." Grace Chen screamed at the top of her lungs. "If it weren't for him, I could have loved Sebastian myself. Sebastian is so wonderful. How could I not like him?"
"Enough. If you keep this up, someone will die," old man Sinclair said coldly. "I know you're all furious about being deceived. But today is my son's birthday. My son hasn't wronged any of you. If you have grievances, settle them privately. Don't spread salt all over my son's birthday party and pollute my eyes."
At this point, old man Sinclair paused briefly. He used an extremely stern gaze to coldly sweep across my seven foster brides, then said coldly, "I originally planned to wait until Sebastian and Olivia were married before announcing this decision, but your actions truly disgust me. Sebastian is right. The Sinclair family doesn't support freeloaders, and certainly not ungrateful wretches. From today, you have no more connection to the Sinclair family. Leave immediately."
Old man Sinclair ordered their expulsion, and the foster brides all panicked.
"Dad, what do you mean by this? You want to throw us out?"
"Dad, we were just blinded by Dylan Monroe. We're not ungrateful."
"Dad, we know we were wrong now. Please give us one more chance. Let us stay and repay you."
The foster brides pleaded sincerely. But old man Sinclair remained unmoved.
"I don't need your repayment. From the day I adopted you, I told you all I had no requirements for you. You didn't need to repay me. The only thing you had to do was love my son wholeheartedly. I only had one requirement for you. But what about you? You couldn't even fulfill that single requirement. You pretended to obey my son on the surface, but secretly mocked him, ridiculed him. Such two-faced behavior. I'm truly disappointed in all of you."
After this speech, all the foster brides hung their heads in shame.
"Dad is right. We're absolutely worthless," Grace Chen said with reddened eyes.
Among the foster brides, she had the hottest temper, but also the most straightforward personality. Now, facing old man Sinclair's rebuke, she felt ashamed and frustrated. So right in front of everyone, she slapped herself hard across the face.
"My biological parents abandoned me. You adopted me, gave me a home, but I couldn't fulfill your only requirement. I truly don't deserve to stay in the Sinclair family anymore."
After Grace Chen finished speaking, she dropped to her knees with a thud. Then, facing old man Sinclair, she firmly kowtowed three times.
"Old man Sinclair, I will never forget your kindness. If you don't despise me, I want to continue working at Sinclair Corporation, working like a horse for you, using the rest of my life to repay your kindness in raising me. If you don't want to see me, then I'll leave immediately. But from now on, every company I open will be a subsidiary of Sinclair Corporation. Every dollar I earn, I'll contribute fifty percent unconditionally to Sinclair Corporation."
Faced with Grace Chen's sincere declaration of loyalty, old man Sinclair only let out a heavy sigh. "Just go. I cannot forgive those who hurt my son."
With those words, Grace Chen knew she couldn't stay, no matter what.
