Seo put on a gorgeous dress and stunning makeup and appeared in front of Dohyun.
Dohyun wasn't holding back either. He started using a sweet voice, and planned to use his ultimate move, a kiss, to win her heart. But when he leaned in close, Seo panicked and her heart started racing. To dodge the kiss, she said nervously, "Let me open the window for some fresh air," and jumped up and ran to the window.
Because she was in such a rush and had lost her cool, Seo slipped and ended up hanging outside a high-floor window. She gripped the windowsill tightly, screaming for Dohyun to save her.
Dohyun saw that and couldn't help but laugh. He said casually, "Save you? In your dreams. Just stay out there and enjoy yourself."
Seeing her screaming so pitifully, Dohyun felt a bit bad. Or maybe he was afraid that if she actually died, he would be a murderer too. He used his foot to hook her and pulled her back into the house.
And just like that, both of their honey-trap plans completely failed. They both knew the other was just acting, so they decided to put their cards on the table.
Next was a super awkward scene, in which Dohyun had to do his business. He asked to be untied so he could go to the bathroom. Seo was naturally suspicious, so she didn't untie him completely. She just moved the ropes from behind his back to the front.
"Go like this, and don't you dare complain."
Dohyun was so mad he saw stars. He planned to attack Seo one more time, but she was a tough nut to crack, and she threw a punch that sent the big star to the floor immediately. Luckily, this time he was just in pain and didn't faint like the other times.
Seeing that the constant tension wasn't helping, both sides decided to sit down for a peace talk. Dohyun made all kinds of promises. "I promise I won't run away or cause you any trouble. Just please let me walk around freely in this house. If you keep me tied up, I'll turn into a caveman."
Seo saw that he seemed sincere, and besides, she was tired of tying him up, so she agreed to let him be free within the apartment.
The problem was that, since she was unemployed, Seo had to rush out to find a part-time job. But if she went to work, who would watch this big shot? What if he escaped?
Right then, Seo saw her neighbour Namu casually watering plants in the hallway. So she got the idea to hire Namu to watch her crazy cousin. The haggling over the pay started as if they were at a grocery store. Namu claimed that watching a crazy person was really hard work, so it had to be at least eight thousand won an hour. Seo haggled back, asking why it was so expensive, and offered seven thousand instead. After some back and forth, they finally settled on seven thousand.
That's typical Seo. She even had to haggle over the price of hiring someone to watch her kidnap victim.
Just as the nanny situation was settled, Dohyun started acting like a diva again. He complained that the clothes he was wearing were too dirty and smelly. He put on an arrogant face.
"Do you know that a superstar like me never wears the same thing twice? Change my clothes right now."
Even though Seo was furious, she wanted him to behave. So she just sucked it up and went out to find him some new clothes to please the big boss.
Seo originally planned to save money by going to those old clothing donation bins, the kind for charity, and picking out a few outfits. But as soon as Dohyun saw the old clothes, he turned up his nose and complained, "I'm an A-list superstar. I'm never putting on these hand-me-downs or old rags. I only wear designer brands from famous fashion houses."
Poor Seo. She was unemployed and broke, but she had to swallow her pride, go to the mall, and grit her teeth as she swiped her card to buy a bunch of expensive designer clothes for this pain in the neck.
Just as she walked out of the store with a bunch of big and small bags, Seo was scared out of her wits when she bumped into the two kind police officers who had given her a ride the other day. Seeing her trying to sneak away, they called her back to chat.
"Hey, kid. So where's that drunk alcoholic boyfriend from the other day?"
Seo quickly acted it out. "Oh, I broke up with him. I sent that kind of man packing to get rid of the burden."
The officers nodded in agreement. "Breaking up was the right move. That guy looked so messy and had no vibe at all. Loving him would only make your life miserable."
Seo could only give a forced laugh, and then slipped away.
But danger was closing in. The detective already had the photo taken from the security camera in his hand. He was taking it around to ask all the police patrol cars, and coincidentally, he met the exact two officers who had just talked to Seo. Recognising the girl who broke up with her boyfriend immediately, they enthusiastically showed the detective the direction she had just disappeared into. Luckily, by the time the detective got there, Seo had managed to disappear into her building.
Back at home, she excitedly gave the brand-new designer things to Dohyun, thinking he would be a bit more reasonable. But no. Holding the fancy outfit in his hands, the superstar started acting up again. He looked at Seo and gave a blunt remark.
"I have nice clothes now, but is this it? There are still so many things missing."
Taking it a step further, Dohyun continued to draw up a long list of items that needed to be bought. Of course, the top requirement was still that it had to be designer. He meticulously listed every single item, from personal things down to the smallest details.
The funniest part was that even for toilet paper, Dohyun demanded a high-end luxury brand. It seemed a superstar's backside had to be cared for to five-star standards to be satisfied.
However, what surprised him the most was Seo's attitude. Instead of getting mad or scolding him as usual, she just nodded instantly and happily agreed to go and buy all that stuff for him.
Seeing Seo suddenly being as sweet as an angel and pampering him like a king, Dohyun started feeling a bit confused. He mumbled to himself, "Wait. Isn't this weird? If she's really a psycho killer who kidnapped me to finish me off, why would she go through all this trouble and spend all this money to serve me hand and foot? Or is she planning to fatten me up before she slaughters me?"
The more Dohyun thought about it, the more wrong it felt. Seo's sudden kindness made him not know whether to be happy or scared.
