After the painful clothes-selling incident, Dohyun started getting bored to death being locked in the house. He begged Seo to let him watch TV to relax. Seo agreed, but before going to work she told Namu to play only one specific Buddhist chanting channel for him.
Dohyun looked at Namu with pleading eyes. "Bro, change the channel. I'm about to lose my mind."
But Namu stayed cool. "No way. Seo said there's something wrong with your head, so you have to watch this channel to clear your soul and stop being crazy."
Hearing that, Dohyun just wanted to cry. It was truly a case of going from bad to worse.
While watching TV, Dohyun suddenly had an idea. He vaguely remembered going into that alley that night to meet someone, but Seo's hit to the head had made him forget everything. Dohyun thought to himself, in movies they always get hit in the head a second time to get their memory back, right?
So he took a risk and asked Namu to hit him in the head. Namu was hesitant at first. "Will hitting you like this really stop you being crazy?"
Dohyun confirmed it firmly. "It will. Hit me hard."
Namu grabbed a thick book and whacked Dohyun right in the head. Whack.
Dohyun's eyes flew open. "Ah, I remember. I was supposed to meet Miran that night —"
But that bad-luck charm Namu saw him scream and thought he hadn't hit him hard enough, so he threw in a second, even harder blow. The result? Dohyun was knocked out cold once again, for the umpteenth time. Seriously, this superstar's head was about to turn into an anchor.
Meanwhile, back at the office, Seo was shaking with fear when she heard that Dohyun's best friend, Miran, was coming to the company as a special guest. She was terrified, because Miran was the one who had seen her secretly leaving the letter on the CEO's car that night. Even though he didn't know her name yet, he definitely remembered her face.
To avoid being caught when she had to bring coffee in to him, Seo used the trick of letting her hair down over her face, like a ghost in a horror movie. She just kept her head down, brought in the coffee tray, and tried to slip away quickly.
But Miran thought this girl was too weird, so he got suspicious. He quietly followed her and blocked her path right in the hallway. Then he asked her straight out.
"You're the one who left the letter on the CEO's car, right?"
Seo panicked and, without even thinking, admitted it instantly. Then she ran for her life until she disappeared.
Miran watched her go, deep in thought. He took out the CCTV photo the detective had given him, and his face started to look mysterious. It was hard to tell whether Miran was a good guy or a bad guy, because right after that he went to see the detective and asked him to stop the investigation, claiming he believed Dohyun really was just on vacation.
That night, Seo came home in a really terrible mood. Her pay was being withheld. The bank was calling about her debt. And on top of that, Miran had spotted her. She sat there blankly, not even wanting to eat or drink.
Dohyun saw she was sad and walked over to try to comfort her. But Seo took her anger out on him and yelled, "You've eaten enough. So now you have time to meddle in my business, right? Well, no more food for you."
Then she snatched the food tray away from him.
Seeing her go into the kitchen, Dohyun noticed her phone sitting on the table. He came up with a pro move, using his toes to grab the phone and drag it towards him so he could call for help. While he was struggling in that super awkward leg-split position, the phone suddenly rang.
Seo turned around and caught the superstar red-handed, dancing around with her phone using his feet. She glared at him, and he could only manage an awkward laugh in the most ridiculous position ever.
Dohyun was still trying to find a way to mess with her when he saw the call was for her. With a smug face, because he had caught her, Dohyun said, "Hey, you've got a call."
It turned out to be her landlord. Over the phone, the landlord chewed Seo out for being late with the rent. Sitting nearby and hearing everything, Dohyun asked her how much she owed, and when he heard the amount, he curled his lip and mocked her.
"How is the rent this dirt cheap?"
Hearing that, Seo snapped. "It's cheap for rich people like you, but for a normal worker like me, it's a huge burden."
She also scolded him, saying she actually had enough money saved up before, but because she had to support a big boss who only ate five-star food, she was now completely broke.
Dohyun argued back. "If you're suffering because of me, why don't you just let me go and get it over with?"
Seo said straight out that she was afraid he would sue her the second she let him go. Dohyun admitted he definitely would. But right now, he wanted to help her. He gave his bank card to Seo and told her to go and withdraw as much as she wanted to handle her current problems.
Seo was overjoyed and ran straight to the cash machine. But life isn't a dream. She tried over and over, but the machine kept saying insufficient funds.
Seo rushed back and gave Dohyun a piece of her mind, thinking he was playing a joke on her. "Are you crazy? Why did you give me a card with zero balance and tell me to withdraw as much as I wanted?"
Dohyun firmly insisted that his account couldn't possibly be out of money, which left him confused and not knowing what was going on.
While she was stressing over money, Seo got some shocking news. Namu said he was moving out.
She really panicked, because if Namu left and someone else moved in, her secret about hiding Dohyun would definitely be exposed. She begged him to stay, but Namu said the landlord wanted to raise the rent, so he would rather move downtown and rent a nice apartment instead.
Desperate, Seo took a risk and promised to help Namu pay his rent next month if he agreed to stay for one more month. Namu agreed. But Seo was heartbroken, because she still owed her own rent, and now she had to pay for him too.
