Chapter 11One Wish, One Fish

By the time he stops, he has already knocked out one hundred and ninety-nine, two hundred push-ups. His body is still somehow holding up after that cruel night. First it was Celia, now Anne. Seriously, what the hell is happening to this guy?

He is not mad about the pain. What really gets to him is knowing he cannot do anything. He is always the one getting overpowered. But next time, he swears, he is going to be the one to take her down.

That thought barely even forms before she suddenly appears, flashing a smile and announcing that work is totally over. Big talk is easy, Moon. Let us see some action.

Yet here she is, claiming she feels like a wife returning after a brutally long day. She calls it cute, acting like this is all perfectly normal behavior. She brought dinner, and even got a bath ready at the exact right temperature.

Honestly, how do you even explain this scene?

She casually asks if he wants to eat, take a bath, or something else.

And this total hypocrite, after all his big talk, is already speed-walking straight toward the bathtub. He sinks into the water like he actually wants to unwind. But judging by his completely panicked expression, relaxing is absolutely not happening. He mumbles under his breath that he is no kid and does not need help with bath time.

Somebody please save this poor boy. He has to get out before he loses his mind.

She tells him his body is hers now, so she has to take care of it. She even tests his hearing while he is internally screaming that he absolutely cannot lose to Anelise.

Dinner time rolls around. He thanks her, tells her the food tastes amazing, grabs his plate, and starts eating. Then he asks what exactly this meat is.

She casually drops that it is from some rare three-horn giant bull. She cooked it specially for him, since it supposedly enhances physical strength.

He tells her to never serve him that again. She just smirks, firing back that he has already eaten it dozens of times. She has been feeding him this stuff in secret.

He stands up. Done. He tells her he is sick of this. He is kept locked away, banned from seeing sunlight, and now she is feeding him all this weird stuff. If she does not let him out now, then.

And down he goes again, knocked out cold. Seriously, what can he even do? Once again, the food was totally cursed. She even whispers for him to enjoy it, because the night is going to be incredibly long.

When he opens his eyes again, it is painfully clear he has been wrecked. She apologizes for last night, claiming she got scared he would not survive, so she actually took it easy on him this time.

Yeah, he did not stand a chance against her. He said he was going to dominate, or whatever, and he got crushed again. She tries to chat, but he completely ignores her.

So she announces that since he has been a good boy for two straight days, she will grant him one request.

He immediately demands freedom. She shoots that down as impossible. He asks for new clothes. She calls that impossible, too.

He just looks at her. What kind of wish is this, if he cannot actually ask for anything?

She explains that the absolute highest level wish he can make right now is choosing when he wants to eat tomorrow.

There are probably people out there who would happily trade places with him just to take some of the heat off the poor guy.

So he just sighs and admits that choosing what to eat is better than nothing. He thinks back to this time of year, remembering how he used to enjoy a specific seasonal wine and some special fish.

She points out that the fish he is talking about comes from Lake Bipore, which is incredibly far away.

He totally plays it up, saying he used to be a free spirit. Now he cannot even decide what to eat, stuck in confinement like this. If he cannot even get one little fish from Lake Bipore, then what is the actual point of life?

She calls his name, and then caves. Fine. She will get it for him.

Immediately he grabs her arm, thanking her with extreme gratitude. He is basically throwing hearts right now. He tells her he is suffering, but honestly, is he really? He wishes her a fantastic day out and tells her he will be waiting at home for her.

She short-circuits on the spot, completely flustered. Then she suddenly runs in, kisses him, and he is just standing there totally stunned.

It is hard to tell at this point. Is he playing four-dimensional chess trying to mess with the villain's head, or is she?

Leaving, she mentions that the trip to Lake Bipore will actually take until tomorrow afternoon, so he had better get some rest. And once outside, she is visibly holding herself back, muttering that she almost could not control herself just now. The young master really is the absolute cutest thing in the world, and she cannot wait to bring him that fish just to keep spoiling him more.

He is thinking that maybe, just maybe, he will finally get a moment of peace and a full night of rest.

He figures this means it is time to pull out his absolute favorite treasure, the book. He has to grind a little more in those simulated training spaces. He asks the system to let him enter a simulation called the space of a thousand locks. It is based on a book he read, and it will level up his ability to break magical seals.

Meanwhile, somewhere under the heavy rain and brewing storm, someone is warning Anelise that Lake Bipore is extremely dangerous right now, and she should completely back off.

As the guy reaches out to grab her hand, she activates her power and stabs him in the hand. She snaps that absolutely no one but the young master is allowed to touch her. If he tries stopping her again, she will feed him to the fish.

The old man just grumbles. If a crazy woman wants to die, he will not stop her. But she should know that the master of the lake is wide awake. The guild has been watching, confirming it is a monarch class creature.

Anelise just claps her hands, smiling. Now that completely explains this weird weather.

The boatman mutters that she had better leave him three hundred coins. He has got to deal with his injured hand right now. But more than that, she really should not mess with the adventurers' guild. They will never let her walk away unscathed.

She just casually drops a massive bucket full of coins sitting in the ice.

He asks her one more time. Does she really want to go? She needs to understand how dangerous this actually is. She is not grasping what it means to make enemies out of the adventurers' guild.

She flatly tells him she does not care. They mean nothing to her. She is doing all of this for love.
