Shaunie asked whether he had never helped a newcomer level up, noting that he was wasting his skills. Sunny replied that he had not. She asked what he did, then, asking him not to say that he was working. The guy claimed that his job was to play the game.
The girl then cheerfully asked whether he was a pro after all. Then no wonder he had won in just forty seconds.
She leaned back in her chair and asked whether he had retired. He asked in response how she knew about it. The girl replied that it was understandable, because he was no longer at that age, and besides, he seemed to be a regular amateur. She knew all the professionals around, but she had never heard of him, which made a person wonder who he was if not an amateur.
She asked him not to yell at her, then asked whether he had been kicked out and what the reason was, figuring that he could not get a foothold in the lineup.
These questions brought Sunny back to yesterday, when the manager had announced that Sebastian would replace him as captain. From now on the God of War account would be his, and Sunny must resign.
Then the girl realized that she had said something that had offended him. She immediately started apologizing, asking the guy to forget everything she had said, but he only calmly replied that it was all right.
Shaunie decided to console him, telling him that twenty-five was not a verdict. He needed some practice and he could get back into the fight. The corners of the guy's lips lifted slightly, after which he replied that he thought so too, and therefore he did not have time to get upset.
Smacking her fist into her palm, the owner said hesitantly that when this day was done, she would have one request for him. She asked for help getting an autograph from someone. When asked from whom, the girl said Marie's and Sunny's. Although it might be difficult, since he was quite unlikable.
Meanwhile, Sunny himself was shocked that she did not believe it was him.
Shaunie said loudly that no one knew who Sunny really was. He had never shown his face. The guy did not answer that he knew that. He then asked whether she wanted to know a secret. She immediately perked up her ears. The guy stated softly that he was that same Sunny.
Leaning over, the girl replied that she wanted to confess something to him too. She was actually Marie. Then she laughed and asked who he was trying to fool.
The guy repeated that he was indeed Sunny, to which the owner replied that she was indeed Marie, followed by an awkward pause.
She then sat down at her own computer, asking him to keep reading her guide, adding that if he had any questions, he should ask. The guy started to comment out loud on the guide, to which Shaunie asked him to read it to the end. It already said which missions were worth going through and which were not.
Sunny grabbed his head, asking himself whether he was really going to have to follow this guide, wondering what he had gotten himself into.
And after he was done with his reading, Sunny created his character, then began to dive into the game world. When the download finished, he found an incredible number of level one folk around him. It was hard to see anything because of the nicknames.
As in any other role-playing game, the character appeared in the initial newcomer village, where every player was just starting out. Suddenly Sunny heard behind him the stomping of dozens of pairs of feet and shouts that the quests and the item were right there. Whoever got there first would take it.
Shaunie, who was observing this, said with a smile that it was always like this on new servers. Everyone wanted to leave the initial location as soon as possible.
A crowd gathered around the only quest character while the girl talked about how this game was truly worthy of its name. She asked him to hurry up and turn in the quest, but there was a long line to reach the grandmother who needed firewood. The rest of the characters were also quite hard to get to, and yet some of the quests were quite easy.
A lot of people wrote in the chat that anyone who broke the queue and tried to squeeze in would get a slap in the face from their guild.
After a while, Sunny paid attention to the character stats, saying that he had finally gotten level seven. Looking closer, he noticed that he already had three hundred and forty skill points, and so he was ready to get the initial skills.
When he approached the master, the master told him that he had found the right person, after which Sunny began to learn various abilities. His character immediately began to glow, showing that the new abilities had been successfully learned, after which they needed to be tested as soon as possible.
First of all he activated acceleration, after which he used a somersault to reach the other primary skill master faster. This master decided to show him how battle mages fought, advising him to learn Dragon Fang, an excellent stun ability. Without hesitation, the guy studied this skill, after which he went to other masters to study attack and defense abilities. His arsenal was enriched with a wide variety of skills, including healing, which could save him at any moment.
