Zeke stood there confused, and the system informed him that it had found a missing part of the information, and that the class information had been entered using the system's authority. After revealing this, the system announced that Zeke's talent had been identified as that of a healer. Then the system informed him that he had unlocked a class, and that it was said to be a rare one.
Zeke was left in disbelief when the lights in the room suddenly went up red, signalling a pure blood awakening. The crowd was left in awe, unable to believe that Zeke was starting off from the very top. The system continued with the information it was passing on to Zeke, letting him know that the terminal had managed to make a connection.
Because of this, the ancient dragon's blessing, sealed within the user's soul, had been activated. Zeke's body started glowing, and the system informed him that the talent of kin, known as the fighter's blood, had been awakened. In addition, the system let him know that his awakened talents had been combined, and that because he had a combination of rare talents, a new class had been created.
Zeke watched in disbelief as the system informed him that he had been given a unique class called Immortal. Another shocking thing happened when the light around the statue turned golden, which was a first. However, they still counted the whole thing as a pure blood awakening, because of the traces of red light that remained. Zeke already knew that people had their doubts, but at the same time he was worried that everything would work against him if he tried to say anything.
While the crowd murmured about what was going on, Abel stepped in, asking them why they were all so tense when they were supposed to be celebrating, since they had been blessed with two pure blood awakenings in a single batch. The moment he said it, the crowd agreed with him and said he was right. Abel then ordered the instructor to get his brother his special gloves, and after putting them on, Zeke could feel just how hefty the gloves were.
Deep down, Zeke was not happy about the fact that he might be forced to accept help from his trash brother. After the conclusion of the rites, the host informed them that a party would be organised to celebrate. As expected, Zeke was not interested in the party and would rather burn himself out in a training room.
He sneaked out of the hall to try to find one, but his brother appeared behind him, calling his name. It shocked Zeke, who had not expected Abel to reach out to him so quickly. Abel asked him why he was wandering off when he should be celebrating his awakening, and then stretched out his hand towards Zeke for a handshake.
Zeke was conflicted about whether to take the handshake or not, because if he refused, it would be pretty obvious that he hated his brother. Because of this, he decided to play along. But just as he was about to take the hand, he remembered something that annoyed him, and he drew his own hand back. Abel was surprised to see it, and even though it was risky, Zeke simply could not bring himself to shake Abel's hand.
Abel decided not to take offence and concluded that seeing his brother's face was enough for him. Abel tapped Zeke on the shoulder, telling him that he would see him again. Deep down, Zeke was raging, because he could not wait to truly meet Abel again.
While everyone else was celebrating the awakening ceremony, Zeke made his way to his room. He was confused about why he was doing so well, since all pure blood awakenings usually came with the mana inhibition ability. That ability shows that one stands in direct opposition to the dragons, the source of mana. Since most machines operate on mana, a pureblood has no choice but to use the special gloves provided by the house.
Zeke had already taken off his glove and he was not feeling anything, which was strange, because if he were truly a pureblood, something odd would have happened by now. Zeke then decided to open the status window, and that was when he realised that things had changed from what they had been before. Instead of mana inhibition, Zeke had mana reflection. Zeke sat down to study the whole thing properly.
Mana reflection was a skill that creates a distorted field to cancel all nearby mana. That was when it dawned on Zeke that mana reflection was counted as a skill, and that the reason the lamps had been fine was that it was not a passive skill. Zeke remembered that he had been a healer before the rite, but he had somehow transitioned into a unique class, the Immortal.
Just then it dawned on him that all the graduates except Reina had had regular awakenings with a blue light. Reina's had been red from the beginning, just as his own had been, except that his had ended up turning gold. He remembered the system telling him that the classification terminal had lost critical information, and he worked out that the statue was the terminal.
It was only after the system had provided the required information that the statue started emitting red light. It finally dawned on Zeke that the red light did not determine whether someone awakened or not. It was actually a determinant of the user's class. There was red for a rare class, and gold for a unique class. The statue was an ancient relic, predating even the founder himself.
Since the concept of class no longer existed in these days, the statue had simply been used to check whether the user had awakened or not. They had basically mislabelled the red light, which was a sign of a rare class, as a pure blood awakening. And they were so blind that not one family head had ever realised it.
