Chapter 7Dinner on the Platinum Floor

Just then he heard a knock at the door, and he called for whoever it was to come in. A maid entered the room and told Zeke that Reina had sent him a dinner invitation. Zeke was shocked to hear it, but because he was curious, he told the maid to take him there.

Zeke arrived to find Reina waiting with her goons standing all around her, and he was a little disappointed at the sight. Reina welcomed Zeke, and after sensing his disappointment, her goons walked away so that the two of them could have a private discussion. Reina then suggested that they discuss things properly once they had finished eating.

While preparing to eat, Zeke was fully focused on the way Reina was controlling her aura using her lower abdomen. Even though she was aiming high, Zeke was disappointed that her swordsmanship was stuck in the mud.

Minutes later, the two of them had consumed a mountain of food and were finally ready to talk. Reina went straight to the point, telling Zeke to accept the Torin family's support. Zeke countered her, reminding her that they were both purebloods. However, Reina tried to enlighten Zeke about the privileges that came with having a great family behind him. She mentioned all the sweet things the family would provide, while also pointing out that Abel himself received support from his maternal family, the Ziemans.

It turned out that Zeke, on the other hand, received no support at all from his own maternal family, and Reina had no idea why. After saying everything she needed to say, she told Zeke in a stern voice to accept the Torin family's support. Without thinking twice, Zeke said no.

Just as Zeke was about to stand up and leave, Reina asked him why he did not want the Torin family's support. Zeke let Reina know that she was getting everything wrong. He had no quarrel with the family, but he was rejecting the offer because he already had everything he wanted, since he was a pureblood awakener.

As he walked away, Zeke told Reina that he would give her one piece of advice as gratitude for the meal. He let her know that her sword had too much strength behind it, and that he was fairly sure she was conscious of the men around her. Zeke then told her that her greatest strength was the fluidity that came from having a flexible body. He urged Reina to stop receiving attacks head-on with the aim of crushing her opponents through strength. Fluidity, Zeke said, would open an opponent up, so that she could land a single delicate strike. He assured her that if she could do this, she would grow far stronger than she currently was.

After saying everything he wanted to say, he left. Reina immediately banged her hand on the table in annoyance while thinking about the herald of her family, which was strength. Reina was furious, because she had only been following her family's tradition. Then it dawned on her that Zeke might actually be right, because she had been obsessed with becoming a person fit to carry the Torin name.

That obsession was what had been subconsciously projected onto the way she moved her sword. Reina was blown away by the fact that Zeke had been able to see through it. She remembered being praised as a genius when she was young, and how not one person had ever given her any real advice. Zeke had just broken through to her and told her a truth she had always been avoiding.

Later on, Zeke realised that he felt perfectly fine even though he had been training all night, and that this was thanks to his infinite stamina. It was a skill that took away any form of fatigue quickly. In his past life he had suffered in the academy, but he was currently enjoying life as it came. Zeke was forced to admit the basic truth that money and power rule everything.

Zeke was walking through the school without disturbing anyone when Owen and his goons showed up. Owen was the third son of the Zieman family, one of the three great families. Just like the others, Owen had bullied Zeke in his past life, but he had used others as a proxy while making sure he maintained his own image.

Owen walked up to Zeke and asked him why he had not replied to the dinner invitation he had sent him the night before. Zeke smiled before casually telling Owen that he was not obligated to reply to every letter that came his way. It immediately crushed Owen's ego, which forced Owen's giant servant to step in. Zeke was confused to see a dog running off its leash, and he asked the man who he was.

The man acted all cool, but Zeke was not really up for his shenanigans, and he told him that he was free to look cool in front of his master, but urged him to keep in mind who he was speaking to. It vexed the man, and he dashed at Zeke, but Zeke dodged the attack. The man finally introduced himself, saying that he was Durban Roswell, and that he was known as the mighty Durban.

Durban told Zeke that he was going to teach him some manners because of how rudely he had spoken. Zeke laughed when he heard the name and the fact that the man even had a title. He made fun of him, saying that he was not even a knight yet and already had a title for himself. Then Zeke dashed at Durban, and before he could react, Zeke sent him flying with a powerful punch.

Durban was buried in the ground from a single punch, and Zeke asked the rest of them whether any of them was willing to challenge him. Zeke urged Owen to pick one of his people to fight him, but Owen did not make a move. Owen simply told Zeke that he was too full of himself, but Zeke ignored him and walked on.
