But suddenly someone interfered, and he turned, annoyed, asking who had stolen his prey.
It was Cain who, with a smile on his face, said that what he had stolen was not Louis's. Then the blond noble turned and, with an elegant movement of his sword, attacked. With a single precise strike he cut the slime in half, finishing the little creature. Meanwhile the other candidates fought desperately against the blue creatures. Cain then said that he had stolen the prey from those candidates, not from Louis.
He introduced himself as Cain and invited him to steal points from the others together. Louis stared at the noble with a serious and very suspicious look at the proposal. Cain then said that he just wanted a high rank, and proposed a competition between the two of them. With a challenging smile, he asked the boy to show all of his true power.
The young man smiled confidently and said that since the noble insisted, he would accept. With that he gripped his sword tighter and prepared for the start of the competition. Louis then proposed that the loser do whatever the winner said, which left Cain surprised. The two stood back to back, ready to finally begin the great contest.
A group of archers noticed that the two had teamed up, and saw a great opportunity. The group's leader smiled sinisterly and prepared to attack the pair. Suddenly a slime was thrown in their direction, catching everyone completely by surprise. He then shouted for his companions to get ready, and drew his bowstring.
At that moment a sphere of blue energy flew towards the competing duo. Louis noticed the attack and his eyes glowed with his special ability. He moved quickly and positioned himself in front of Cain to block the attack. But that was not all, because several arrows were also fired in their direction, hitting Louis.
Cain was completely shocked to see Louis shielding him from the attack with his body. The archer celebrated with a confident smile, thinking that he had landed the attack perfectly. But Louis just let out a mocking laugh, showing that he had felt nothing.
As the dust settled, the archer was completely stunned by what he was seeing. Louis had caught the arrows with his bare hands, without any difficulty. Suddenly a red trail appeared in the air, indicating that the attack had hit someone. Once again Louis had stepped in front of the noble, and had caught the arrow with his own hand. Cain panicked about his hand, but the young man said that their real target had been him.
The examiners noticed the intent behind the attack, and one of them suggested disqualification. But the director refused, saying that they would lose anyway, and asked them to prepare healing potions.
Meanwhile, in the arena, Louis asked for Cain's name again and called him to action. With a smile, he held the sword like a bat and asked whether the noble knew baseball. Then the boy used his sword to bat a slime towards the enemy archers. Using his special ability, he calculated the perfect trajectory for his attack. His eyes glowed with a blue energy and he prepared to swing with all his might.
Then Louis hit the slime with his sword as if it were a real baseball bat. The creature flew across the arena at high speed towards the group of enemy archers. They looked up in terror as they realised the monster was heading straight for them. The slime hit the group's leader head on, sending him flying with the force of the impact.
