After the attack has been successfully prevented, the students are sent on a field trip to take a break and rest both their bodies and their minds. During the trip the trio play a card game, with Ireina completely dominating and Jinny losing again and again, which leaves her frustrated.
As they continue their journey, something unusual happens. The carriage's wheel rolls over a rock, and time suddenly stops for all of the students except the three of them, who then fall into a dark hole. They get back on their feet and find themselves in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a bright white light, where they are greeted by an unknown girl.
Ard immediately becomes cautious and asks whether she is a demon. The girl introduces herself as a god, and uses her magic to teleport herself, startling all three of them. She tells Ard that a mysterious being is trying to interfere with time, and warns him that his encounter with the demon lord could cause their world to disappear. Before vanishing, the girl asks Ard to eliminate the threat.
Moments later the trio find themselves lying on the ground. As they get up, they notice that there are two moons in the sky. Ard quickly realizes that they have been transported back to the ancient era, when two moons still existed, which leaves both Ireina and Jinny in shock. Looking around, Ard also recognizes the area as one of the territories ruled by Demon Lord Varvatos, and tells Jinny and Ireina that the demon lord is still alive.
He decides to make meeting the demon lord his first priority, before searching for the threat the self-proclaimed god mentioned, which confuses both Jinny and Ireina, since they cannot see how they are supposed to identify a threat without knowing what it looks like.
Just then they hear a girl scream, and look down the hill to see her being chased by a Death Stinger. Without hesitation, Ard jumps in to help her. As the girl is cornered, Ard uses his magic to defeat the Death Stinger with a single attack, which leaves her completely shocked.
At that moment the girl's subordinate, Lady Olivia, arrives at the scene and thanks Ard for saving her commander. Jinny and Ireina recognize Lady Olivia at once, but she does not recognize them, and she uses her magic to release a burst of wind energy that knocks them both unconscious. Ard, however, remains completely unfazed, which impresses Lady Olivia enough that she invites the trio to her city.
The next day they wake in a room provided by the city, and Lady Olivia enters and offers Ard a place in their forces, explaining that the country is currently at war. Ard quickly accepts, but asks Lady Olivia to allow Ireina and Jinny to join as well. After she agrees, Ard makes one more request, and asks her to assign all three of them to Lord Verda's forces. He knows that Ireina and Jinny will be safer in a unit that focuses on logistics rather than taking part in direct battles. Although Lady Olivia is not pleased with the request, she agrees to it, realizing that she has no other choice if she wants to recruit Ard.
After the trio arrive at the research center led by Lord Verda, they notice a girl standing on top of the laboratory. She uses her magic to blow up the entire building. While Jinny and Ireina are left speechless, the girl happily jumps into the air, shouting that the experiment was a success, before finally noticing the trio. She walks over to them and introduces herself as Lord Verda, and then restores the entire laboratory with her magic in a matter of seconds.
She quickly invites everyone inside, where she learns that they want to join her team to support Demon Lord Varvatos in the war, and she is delighted. Ard then reveals the entire truth, explaining that they come from the future and are searching for a way to return home. Instead of being shocked or frightened, Verda becomes excited, and promises to help them find a way back.
Just then Silfie bursts into the room by breaking down the door and immediately tries to catch Verda, who runs around the room trying to escape. Just as Silfie fails to catch her, Lydia enters the room, which excites both Ireina and Jinny — until they witness Lydia's actual personality. She walks over to Verda and starts scolding her, throwing insults at her all the while, leaving Ireina and Jinny completely shocked. Ard is not surprised, since he already knows what Lydia is like from his past life.
At Verda's request that she take the trio as extra manpower, Lydia finally notices them. She immediately glances at Jinny's chest and gets excited. Walking over to her, Lydia invites Jinny to spend some pleasant time at her villa, and then grabs her backside, leaving Jinny embarrassed and awkward.
Before Lydia can do anything else, Ard steps between them and explains that they only arrived in the city today and are not interested in attending any parties or anything of the kind. Hearing that, Lydia gets annoyed and challenges Ard to a fight outside. Ard accepts the challenge, and asks both Ireina and Jinny to stay inside.
As the two of them face each other, Lydia charges at Ard and attempts to land a kick. Ard dodges the attack, but Lydia quickly scoops up a handful of dirt and throws it into his eyes, then uses the opening to land a clean punch that sends him flying. After crashing into a rock, Ard gets serious and charges back at her. He intentionally throws a weak punch to bait her, and then lands a powerful kick to her face.
The two of them go on fighting for hours, until they finally collapse onto the ground from exhaustion. As Ard jokingly remarks that he did not expect Lydia to be this weak and starts to get up, Lydia stops him and offers him a place in her support unit on the front lines. Hearing that, Ard realizes that this is a good opportunity, and agrees on one condition: that Lydia arrange a meeting between him and Demon Lord Varvatos.
Lydia explains that the demon lord does not meet people so easily, and tells Ard that he must first accomplish something significant to earn his trust before such a meeting can happen. Realizing that she is telling the truth, Ard decides to join the front lines with Lydia's support unit, along with Ireina and Jinny.
After the battle is over, Lydia invites the trio to her villa, where Jinny takes a bath in the hot springs. Lydia later joins her there and tries to seduce her, leaving Jinny feeling awkward.
Meanwhile Ard stands alone in his room when a maid arrives and tells him to feel free to use anything in the villa. As he looks around, he starts thinking about Lydia, and about the fact that he killed her in his past life, and wonders whether that had been a terrible decision.
