The next day the festival's second event begins. As the play is about to start and everyone prepares for the performance, Ireina admits that she has stage fright and becomes nervous. Ard reassures her that she has nothing to worry about, and the play soon begins.
As Ard takes on the role of Demon Lord Varvatos, he feels embarrassed, considering that he is playing a glorified version of himself from his past life. The performance, however, reminds him of his battle against Avia Deserus, which he considers to have been a truly unique battle.
During that battle, Demon Lord Varvatos stood on a cliff with his army and informed everyone that he and Lydia would charge into enemy territory to gather information. Silfie opposed the plan and insisted on coming with them, explaining that she did not trust Varvatos to watch Lydia's back. Before she could even finish speaking, Lydia cut her off and began scolding her.
Meanwhile the king of the opposing country openly challenged Varvatos and his army, and both sides prepared to launch their attack the following day. That night Silfie approached Varvatos and asked whether she was useless, remembering how Lydia had scolded her that afternoon. Varvatos simply reassured her that she was quite strong, and explained that Lydia cared about her and wanted her to become her successor. Seeing the sad look on her face, Varvatos told Silfie to do whatever she wanted, and assured her that he would take responsibility for it. Overjoyed, Silfie happily hugged Varvatos.
The next day the battle began, and Varvatos's army quickly overwhelmed the enemy forces. Then the enemy king stepped forward and laughed before drawing Demise Argus and preparing to unleash an attack. His move was instantly countered by a trap Silfie had secretly set in advance, which gave Lydia the perfect opportunity to defeat the king without any difficulty.
After the king was defeated, Varvatos walked over to Silfie, who was laughing and jumping with excitement, and asked whether she knew where all of the traps had been placed. When Silfie admitted that she did not, Varvatos jokingly punched her and asked how they were supposed to leave the area if there were traps scattered everywhere. Somehow they all managed to avoid them and started their journey back home. During that journey Silfie started crying, while Varvatos awkwardly realized that he had taken responsibility for her and that she still had not learned her lesson properly. Lydia comforted Silfie, telling her not to cry, praising her efforts and helping her understand that she should always think carefully before acting.
Back in the present, the play comes to a successful end, with Ard managing to cover for anyone who forgets their lines — especially Silfie. As everyone stands before the audience, Silfie suddenly notices a girl in the crowd leaving the venue. She runs after her, mistaking her for her big sister Lydia, only to realize that it is someone else.
Just as Silfie is isolated from her classmates, the suspicious man from before appears in front of her. She recognizes him as the same man who told her the truth about Ard being the reincarnation of Demon Lord Varvatos, and she agrees to follow him when he asks.
Meanwhile Ard and Jinny leave the venue and wait outside the arena for the final match of the Sword King battle tournament, between Ireina and Silfie. As soon as Silfie arrives, she starts acting strangely, and then confidently declares that she will win the tournament. Once the fight begins, Ireina does not even get a chance to react, because Silfie knocks her out instantly with incredible speed. The crowd is left stunned, and Ard can only watch in confusion.
After the match, Silfie receives the holy sword Vald Galulus as her reward, and asks Ard to meet her that night beneath the tree of the Sword King, the tree that seals some of the country's secrets.
When Ard arrives, Silfie looks at him and says that she desperately wants to kill him, and then activates the seal of the tree of the Sword King, turning the replica of her holy sword into the real one. She immediately summons Demise Argus, unleashes its power and charges at Ard. Ard dodges her attacks and uses Sky Walker to fly into the air, wondering all the while why Silfie is behaving so strangely.
As Silfie chases him through the sky, the mysterious man watches the battle from a distance, while Ireina and Jinny notice them from the ground and are left confused. The man laughs to himself, remembering how he brainwashed Silfie by showing her the death of her big sister Lydia. He had shown her a vision of Varvatos using his magic to kill Lydia, which changed Silfie completely and caused her to fall into his trap.
Back in the present, Silfie rushes at Ard and manages to slash him across the back with her sword, sending him crashing to the ground. Seeing that, Silfie is pleased, and lands in front of him, overwhelmed with anger as she accepts that her big sister is no longer in this world.
As Silfie prepares to finish Ard with her final attack, Ireina arrives at the scene, forcing Silfie to shift her attention toward her instead. Enraged, Silfie charges at Ireina, who barely manages to block the attack. Before Silfie can overpower her, Jinny joins the battle as well and unleashes a fire spell that nearly hits Silfie and forces her to dodge. Jinny then rushes straight at Silfie, only to be kicked away.
While Ireina continues provoking her, Silfie becomes completely furious and charges at Ireina once again, attempting to strike her — and suddenly freezes as Ard appears before her in the form of Demon Lord Varvatos and orders her to stop.
The sight of the demon lord only makes Silfie angrier, and she immediately attacks him. The demon lord effortlessly dodges every strike while carefully analyzing Silfie's fighting style and attack patterns. He soon realizes that he needs to end the battle quickly, and keeps avoiding every one of her attacks. Just as the demon lord is about to finish the fight, Silfie suddenly comes to a halt after hearing the voice of her big sister Lydia telling her to stop.
The moment Silfie stops trying to kill the demon lord, the man who brainwashed her appears and throws her aside, calling her useless. The demon lord looks at the man and asks whether he was the one who brainwashed Silfie, but the man only answers rudely before picking up the swords lying on the ground. He turns around and charges at the demon lord, who wounds him with a single strike.
Even after being injured, the man stubbornly keeps attacking, only to hurt himself even more. He then attempts to use the sword's magic power, but the weapon rejects him and damages his arm instead. The demon lord picks up the sword and explains that the weapon chooses its own wielder, and then uses the very technique that the man had failed to activate.
As the attack lands, the man suddenly disappears, which makes Ard suspicious, because he realizes that his enemy must have used some kind of technique to escape; there is no way he could have been defeated that easily.
Just then Lydia's soul emerges from one of the swords and approaches Silfie, calling her foolish for trying to hurt Varvatos. As Silfie breaks down in tears at the sight of her big sister again, Lydia gently tells her to enjoy her life, because her death was never Varvatos's fault, and then returns to the sword.
