Later that evening, Thomas stubbornly refused to go to bed.
Trying to persuade him, Minjun explained that children needed to sleep early if they wanted to grow up big and strong like Mama and Papa. Watching the conversation, Kenta looked completely confused. Thomas still refused to sleep.
Maya then reminded everyone that Thomas needed to be awake at six the following morning. Kenta could not understand why Maya was suddenly saying such a thing, since he had never cared about it before.
Trying a different approach, Minjun suggested that he would simply hug Thomas until he fell asleep. Kenta offered to help immediately, saying that it must be difficult for Minjun and that he could hold Thomas instead. Minjun politely ignored the offer.
He then suggested that both Kenta and Maya take a break. Neither of them agreed. Maya explained that the boss still had not come home and that he intended to stay awake until both Minjun and Thomas were asleep.
Although Minjun insisted it was not necessary, he seemed unusually restless. Noticing his expression, Kenta asked whether something was bothering him.
After a brief hesitation, Minjun admitted that he had simply been wondering why Daiki was so late coming home. Then he laughed nervously and claimed that he was not actually curious himself. Perhaps Thomas had been wondering instead.
Just as he was about to say that Daiki probably would not be coming home at all that night, they heard a car arriving outside.
At first Minjun looked relieved. Then his expression changed.
A beautiful woman stepped out of the car beside Daiki.
The sight visibly shocked him. Realising what Minjun was staring at, Maya hurriedly pulled the curtains closed to block his view.
Minjun insisted on looking anyway. Kenta interrupted him by pointing out that Thomas had already fallen asleep.
Still unable to hide what he was feeling, Minjun complained quietly that Daiki had brought another person into the house where Thomas lived. Deep down, though, what truly bothered him was the thought that he did not want anyone else there at all.
Interrupting those thoughts, Kenta reminded him firmly that he seemed to be forgetting something. He explained that Minjun was only there because of their contract, and that his responsibility was simply to take care of Thomas. Then he told him to stop worrying and go to bed.
Looking hurt, Minjun apologised quietly and went back to his room.
Maya went on watching Daiki and the woman outside. Believing that the woman's presence might interfere with any possible romance between Daiki and Minjun, he smiled to himself, clearly pleased by the situation.
Long after everyone else had gone to bed, Minjun still could not sleep. He could not stop thinking about seeing Daiki arrive home with another woman. Kenta's reminder that his only purpose in the mansion was to care for Thomas kept echoing in his mind, and it left him deeply upset.
Hoping to clear his thoughts, he decided to have a drink. After kissing Thomas gently on the cheek, he went quietly downstairs to the kitchen.
There he found Shima, humming to himself while he organised a few things. Minjun greeted him politely and asked whether he could have a glass of soju, explaining that Rakuto had told him once that it was all right to drink.
Shima agreed and invited him to sit down while he fetched the bottle. Once Minjun had settled at the table, Shima placed the soju in front of him and asked whether that would be enough on its own, or whether he should prepare a quick snack as well.
Before Shima could walk away, Minjun took him lightly by the arm and assured him that it was not necessary, since he only planned to have two drinks before going back upstairs.
The unexpected touch made Shima blush. Clearly embarrassed, he stepped away quickly.
Watching his reaction, Minjun was confused. He wondered why everyone seemed to blush whenever he touched them, and complained to himself, jokingly, that it was not as though he had some contagious disease.
Feeling slightly offended, he was surprised when Shima came back carrying a small snack. Still embarrassed, Shima offered it to him shyly and suggested that he eat something while he drank, and leave the dishes where they were, because he would clean everything up in the morning. Then he practically hid behind the cutting board.
Left alone, Minjun kept drinking. He thought to himself that perhaps the alcohol tasted especially good simply because he had not had a drink in such a long time.
Without realising it, he drank far more than he had intended.
Completely intoxicated, he began wandering around the mansion. After bumping into a wall, he started complaining in Korean that Daiki, with all his money, had built a house that twisted and turned like a maze.
Still grumbling, he stumbled through the hallways and tried to enter another room. Instead he walked straight into another wall, fell to the floor, and cried out in pain.
Maya happened to find him there. Concerned, he asked where Minjun was hurt and tried to help him up. It did not take him long to realise that Minjun was completely drunk.
In his drunken state, Minjun mistook Maya for Daiki. He grabbed him by the shirt and began complaining about the confusing layout of the mansion. Realising that Minjun was not thinking clearly, Maya tried to calm him down.
Before he had a chance to respond, Minjun insisted that he had something important to discuss. Then, without warning, he leaned in much too close and put his hand somewhere he should not have.
Maya's reaction was a mixture of shock and feelings he could not deny. To his own surprise, he did not entirely dislike it.
Moments later, Minjun climbed onto his lap. Completely flustered, Maya asked whether he even knew where they were.
Instead of answering, Minjun kissed him.
Without resisting, Maya kissed him back. It was something he had secretly wanted.
The moment lasted only briefly before Minjun finally realised that the man in front of him was not Daiki. Looking confused, he smiled and greeted him, mistakenly, as Mr Kubota, then explained that he actually needed to talk to Daiki.
Trying to stop him, Maya asked him to stay. Unable to hide his curiosity any longer, he asked what Minjun needed to discuss with the boss, and whether the two of them were sleeping together.
Drawing closer, Maya even suggested that Minjun do the same things with him instead.
Minjun simply pulled his hand free, stood up, and declared firmly that he was going to find Daiki because he had something important to tell him. He wished Maya a good night, took another drink, and wandered away.
Left alone, Maya struggled to understand everything that had just happened. Although he had enjoyed the kiss, he tried to convince himself that it meant nothing, and that it had not affected him at all.
The next morning, Thomas became terrified when he could not wake Minjun. No matter how many times he shook him, or how often he called out for his mama, Minjun showed no sign of waking up.
Frightened, Thomas began to believe that his mama had died.
