Meanwhile, Sher returned to his apartment. Although he still had missions to complete, all he really wanted was to spend some time exploring the world of the game. He noticed that things had not changed much from what he remembered, aside from a few businesses specifically catering to alphas and omegas.
He also reflected on his twin brothers, who continued sending messages and calling him regularly to check on him. Unlike them, his father never contacted him, making the difference in treatment painfully obvious. Meanwhile, the affectionate alphas from the karaoke bar had somehow obtained his phone number and added him to a group chat where messages arrived non-stop.
Suddenly, Sher had a moment of realization. Instead of making Pakito dance at karaoke, he should have used his reward to ask for the university interview.
The system then reminded him that he still had unopened rewards waiting. He opened them and discovered three random cards. Curious, he prepared to examine them, though what they contained stayed hidden for the moment.
Later, while wandering around the condominium, Sher discovered a martial arts academy. Impressed by the variety of services available, he thought the place was surprisingly complete. A teacher approached him and asked whether he was interested in joining. The teacher explained that they offered classes in judo, taekwondo and jiu-jitsu. Curious, Sher asked for a tour before making a decision, and the teacher happily agreed.
While looking through one of the doors, something caught his attention. It was Pakito, in the middle of a training session.
Sher immediately hid, afraid that Pakito might think he was stalking him again. From his hiding spot, however, he could not help admiring Pakito's physique. According to Sher, the man looked ridiculously attractive. He watched Pakito stretch, warm up and train while admiring every muscle. By the end of it, he concluded that watching Pakito exercise was hotter than the summer sun.
The system interrupted and asked whether he had come to the academy just to stare at men. Sher insisted that he was simply looking for a hobby. The system sarcastically asked whether men were his hobby. Trying to defend himself, Sher changed the subject and pointed out that many children were studying martial arts there. He even thought that if he ever had children, he would enroll them in the school. The system immediately reminded him that he should probably find a partner first before worrying about children.
Before Sher could respond, several children suddenly began shouting, "Uncle Pakito, Uncle Pakito!"
Pakito smiled warmly and waved back. A teacher approached him and thanked him for helping to train the children during previous visits. She even asked whether he had ever considered becoming an instructor, because his skills were comparable to those of a professional athlete. Humbly, Pakito declined. He claimed that he was not skilled enough to teach. When he casually revealed that he was only a fifth-degree black belt, the teacher was stunned, because the highest-ranked instructor at the academy was only a first-degree black belt.
A little girl approached Pakito carrying homemade cookies. She shyly offered them as thanks for helping with training. She admitted that they might not taste very good, but said that they were at least edible. With a gentle smile, Pakito thanked her and said that he loved Thai sweets and was sure he would enjoy them.
Watching quietly from a distance, Sher felt unexpectedly touched. The scene was incredibly heartwarming. For a moment, he thought that he would also like to become someone capable of making others smile.
Naturally, the system refused to let him have a sincere moment. It pointed out that the only thing he was creating right now was drool, while staring at Pakito's smile. Embarrassed, Sher denied it. Still, he could not help wondering why seeing Pakito smile made him happy.
Trying to understand his own feelings, he asked the system whether it was somehow influencing him. He admitted that he felt confused whenever it came to Pakito. The system immediately denied having anything to do with it.
Frustrated, Sher loudly insisted that he did not like Pakito at all, despite having confessed his love several times. Unfortunately, several women walking nearby overheard him. They immediately criticized him, saying that confessing to someone without genuinely meaning it was disgusting. One woman remarked that flirting without sincerity was unattractive. Even the instructor who had welcomed him to the academy looked disappointed. He bluntly told Sher that his attitude was repulsive. Completely humiliated, Sher ran away as fast as he could.
Meanwhile, Shin suddenly appeared. Apparently, he had survived. When he met Pakito, he reported that Sher had been spying on him and had looked absolutely devastated before running away.
Pakito remained silent. Outwardly, he thought that Sher was still obsessively following him. Deep down, however, he enjoyed being the center of Sher's attention. The thought of continuing to toy with him even made him smile slightly. Shin nearly froze in shock. Seeing Pakito smile was apparently a very rare event.
The scene then shifted to a restaurant. There, Sher sat across from Jin with tears in his eyes, thanking him for helping with his university assignment. Jin said that it had been no trouble at all and that he had enjoyed the company. Then he asked what Sher had just called him.
Sher explained that he enjoyed giving people nicknames, and asked whether Jin disliked the one he had chosen. Looking at Sher, Jin thought that he resembled a sad puppy, so he reassured him that the nickname was fine and even called it creative. Privately, Jin also found it surprising how cute someone of Sher's age could be.
Sher invited him to enjoy the food they had ordered together. He then explained how he had managed to reach this peaceful moment. Earlier, when he had opened the random reward cards, one of them had turned out to be a seek help card. Since Pakito had refused to cooperate, Sher had decided that it was time to make his own move.
Back in the present, Sher happily told Jin that his professor had praised the interview and that his future now looked bright. He also admitted that he was a huge admirer of Jin and followed all of his news. Jin thanked him for the support.
