S-Rank, But the City Sees an F
by Cole Whitaker
Chapters 1–20 free
Synopsis
When the gates opened, a letter appeared over every head, and the system sorted the survivors into prey and predators in a single afternoon. He woke up with an S above him and a passive nobody would have wanted: he can display any rank lower than his real one. Player killers have already worked out that the system only punishes whoever attacks first, so they spend their days making frightened people swing. He folds his S down into a dull gray F, picks up a cracked baseball bat, and walks toward the three men robbing an old man behind a vending machine.
