Chapter 3The Locked Shower Room

Just then, Kiyo noticed the prisoner again. The man smiled at him, making Kiyo wonder if he was being mocked. Yeri noticed as well and asked who he was, then suggested they leave.

Soon after, guards arrived to call Kiyo. His lawyer was there to see him.

When Kiyo met his lawyer, the man greeted him, noting that it had been about a month since they last met and asking how he had been. Kiyo replied that he was doing fine. The lawyer asked about his new cellmate. Kiyo said he seemed like a good person and always protected him, though internally Kiyo hesitated, unsure of what to truly make of Yeri.

Kiyo hadn't spoken to him for a month, ever since that joke about kissing. The whole thing still felt strange to him.

Meanwhile, the lawyer commented that it seemed the man treated Kiyo well, which gave him some relief. Kiyo replied that yes, he actually was pretty kind. But deep down, Kiyo thought the complete opposite. He felt suffocated there, nervous every single day.

Back in the cell, Yeri was doing push-ups while thinking about the man who had ordered him to kill Kiyo. After finishing his workout, he thought to himself that if he had to kill him brutally, he would need to make it look like a suicide. He wondered what kind of trouble that kid could possibly have caused for someone to want him dead.

Just then, someone outside remarked that the first thing Yeri thought about after waking up was that omega. Yeri asked who had said that, and the new prisoner with glasses appeared.

Yeri walked over and asked who he was, mentioning that he had noticed him hanging around. The prisoner introduced himself as Pigeon. He explained that he was like a courier who could bring anything into the prison along with useful information, including information about Yeri himself, such as the real reason behind inmate 18818's transfer there.

Yeri took the cigarette Pigeon offered and dismissed his words as nonsense. But Pigeon insisted he was serious and said that information always came with a price. Yeri paid him for the cigarette, and Pigeon thanked him for the business, saying he looked forward to future deals. Before leaving, Pigeon warned him that as long as he was around, things wouldn't go according to plan, and that he would be keeping an eye on Yeri's little chick.

Elsewhere, the lawyer was preparing Kiyo for court. He explained that the first hearing would move quickly and would mostly involve confirming basic information like his name, age and family details. After that they would reject the prosecution's indictment, and the real battle would begin during the second hearing. All of the victims had been alphas with political ambitions, and the prosecution planned to bring in people who knew Kiyo to testify that he hated alphas.

Later, lying on his bed, Kiyo tried to reassure himself. The lawyer had said things would be fine as long as they stuck to their story, and there was no actual evidence against him. Still, he couldn't believe that all the victims had been politically connected. He didn't even know who they really were.

Elsewhere, prisoners were playing cards when one of the bosses noticed Yeri sitting alone and asked where his precious omega was. Another prisoner mentioned hearing that the omega had had to go to court that day.

Yeri silently watched them, thinking that inmate 2089 was supposed to be keeping an eye on the kid. He wondered if they knew he was actually a hit. That meant he would need to deal with Kiyo quickly, but moving too fast could look suspicious. On top of that, the client had specifically requested a brutal death.

Yeri admitted to himself that he had never expected the kid might actually be innocent, and that was why he had started acting emotionally. Now he decided it was time to completely win Kiyo over before finishing the job.

Meanwhile, the prison boss asked Pigeon if he was sure Yeri hadn't marked the omega yet. Pigeon confirmed that they still hadn't slept together, and that the mark was fake. He even offered more information about why inmate 18818 was there. According to Pigeon, Yeri was actually a serial killer who used to be a policeman. He would seduce omegas, get them pregnant, and kill them once the pregnancy was confirmed. Since that was his pattern, Pigeon claimed it proved Yeri hadn't touched Kiyo yet, because once Yeri chose a target, he eventually revealed his true nature before striking.

Later, Yeri watched Kiyo quietly and remembered the lawyer telling him not to make any statements. Tossing Kiyo a piece of chicken, he told him that a trial was just a trial and not a reason to skip dinner.

Kiyo was irritated, because Yeri had ignored him all morning, yet now suddenly acted concerned about him. When Kiyo tried to refuse the food, his stomach growled loudly, embarrassing him. Yeri called him a headache and told him to just eat so he could stop worrying about it.

As Kiyo opened the food, he thought about how strangely inconsistent Yeri was. One moment frightening and distant, the next caring and attentive. He concluded that Yeri had probably always been weird. Watching him eat, Yeri joked to himself that the chick was eating chicken.

After dinner, Kiyo went to wash his hands, when Yeri suddenly grabbed him and asked if he wanted to take a shower now that he had eaten. Holding his hand, he started leading him toward the shower room. Confused, Kiyo wondered why Yeri was suddenly acting this way.

Near the showers, Yeri explained that since this was a special favor, he wouldn't be able to stand guard outside like before, but promised not to look at him. Kiyo realized that Yeri had been joking earlier about helping him shower. Yeri teasingly asked if he shouldn't at least get a thank you. Kiyo started to respond, then insisted that he had never asked for any of this. Yeri sarcastically thanked himself instead and hurried him inside, reminding him that they needed to finish before roll call.

Inside, Yeri locked the door and told Kiyo to take off his clothes, because they needed to be quick and couldn't turn the lights on. As Kiyo undressed, he wondered if this was one of the secrets Yeri had mentioned before.

While Kiyo showered, Yeri casually asked how the hearing had gone. He joked that the courtroom couldn't possibly have been warm and welcoming for someone accused of murdering several alphas. He asked whether Kiyo had stayed quiet and continued insisting he was innocent. Yeri also mentioned hearing that all the victims had been future politicians, meaning the case was obviously hot.

Suddenly, Kiyo said coldly that all alphas deserved to die. Shocked, Yeri asked what he meant. Kiyo repeated himself more angrily, shouting that every single alpha should die.

At that moment footsteps echoed outside the shower room. Yeri quickly covered Kiyo's mouth to silence him, but Kiyo kept making noise. To stop him, Yeri suddenly kissed him. Outside, a guard heard the sounds and approached to inspect the shower room, but seeing the door locked, he left.

Inside, Yeri continued kissing Kiyo, and Kiyo slowly started responding to it. When a drop of water hit Kiyo's face, he snapped back to reality and pushed Yeri away.

Yeri teasingly asked if that had been his first kiss. Embarrassed, Kiyo immediately denied it, while internally panicking over how obvious he must have looked. Yeri smirked and said that maybe he was just such a good kisser that he had gotten Kiyo excited.

Kiyo told him to stay away, but Yeri reassured him that he wouldn't do anything and that the situation simply couldn't be avoided. Still, he pointed out that there was no reason for Kiyo to avoid looking him in the eyes, and noticed that Kiyo was blushing again. He moved closer and joked that if Kiyo kept reacting like that, he might genuinely get excited himself.

Kiyo told him to stop teasing him, but Yeri said his reactions were just too innocent and amusing. Then, seeing Kiyo's wet body, even Yeri began blushing and lost his composure for a moment.

Shocked by this reaction, Kiyo tried to run away, but Yeri caught him. Yeri reminded him that he had said he wouldn't do anything, but admitted that he had changed his mind. He repeated the warning he had given before. "Never trust anyone in this prison."

Then he kissed Kiyo again. Kiyo protested and said he didn't want this, but Yeri kept kissing him. Dizzy and overwhelmed, Kiyo collapsed to the floor. Yeri noticed how affected he was and started removing his clothes.

Kiyo's thoughts became hazy. His head felt like it was floating, and Yeri's scent was intoxicating. Even though he wasn't in heat, his body felt unbearably warm. He couldn't understand why he couldn't push Yeri away despite knowing he was an alpha. Instead, Kiyo ended up clinging to him, and the two became intimate.
