The next day, a girl named Silfie fights a dungeon boss and finally defeats it after spending three years inside the dungeon. Excited by her victory, she returns to the city, only to be shocked by how much it has advanced. The entire country has changed completely. Startled by the carriages, she becomes confused and wanders into a small alley, where a man greets her and informs her that three thousand years have passed since she went into the dungeon.
Silfie is left speechless, but she tries to act knowledgeable, claiming that she already knew time flows differently inside a dungeon, and then decides to follow the man. As they walk, the man hides his identity, but he does reveal that he once served Demon Lord Varvatos, who is dead now, but who has reincarnated into this world as Ard Meteor. Hearing that, Silfie immediately becomes serious and decides to find Ard Meteor.
Meanwhile the headmaster meets with Ard, Jinny and Ireina to inform them about an upcoming play celebrating the academy's hundredth anniversary. He asks Ard to perform on stage as well, believing that his appearance will attract more people, sell more tickets and bring in greater profits. Jinny and Ireina excitedly encourage Ard to accept, and he quickly agrees.
Their excitement does not last long, because the headmaster then hands Ard a threatening letter from Lars Algul, ordering the academy to cancel the performance. The headmaster explains that they receive letters like this every year, but that this one is different, because it is written on parchment made from human skin. He asks Ard to take part in the event while also helping to protect the students from any possible threat. Jinny and Ireina immediately agree to help as well, while the headmaster assures Ard that Lady Olivia is willing to assist too, and is currently recruiting other students who might be able to help protect the academy.
Everyone agrees, and then they head off to class — where Silfie suddenly bursts into the classroom, loudly asking for Ard Meteor. Just before she can find him, Lady Olivia walks into the room and bonks Silfie on the head, pointing out that she is still immature even after three thousand years, at which Ard silently nods. Silfie notices him nodding and immediately approaches him, accusing him of being the reincarnation of Demon Lord Varvatos.
Ard awkwardly tries to deny the claim while silently wondering how she can possibly know the truth about him. As Silfie goes on calling him a scaredy-cat and the reincarnation of Varvatos, and challenging him to a duel, Ireina quickly steps forward to defend Ard, declaring that she will duel Silfie in his place. The moment Silfie sees Ireina, she recognizes her as Lydia's reincarnation, and asks her to be friends.
Ireina refuses, which leaves Silfie to declare that she has no choice but to duel Ard instead — an idea that Lady Olivia supports as well. Although Ard tries to refuse the duel, both Lady Olivia and Silfie keep provoking and cornering him, until he has no choice but to accept.
As the two of them stand facing each other on the ground, Ard realizes that he needs to lose the fight in order to erase any suspicions about his true strength. The duel begins, and the two of them give each other a tough fight, with neither of them managing to land a single hit. Ard relies carefully on his swordsmanship, knowing that if such a fast-paced battle goes on too long, everyone will start suspecting that he is far stronger than he appears.
After Silfie provokes him once again, Ard decides to land a single hit on her and then lose the match on purpose. He quickly uses his swift skill to strike her. Although she blocks the attack at first, Ard soon overwhelms her with his physical strength, breaking her sword and knocking her to the ground. Seeing that, Ard realizes that losing now would look far too obvious, so he walks toward her to claim his victory.
Just as Lady Olivia announces the winner, Silfie angrily gets back to her feet and activates her magic technique, Demise Argus. A magical sword appears in the sky, and Ard is alarmed enough to tell her not to use such a technique inside the academy while the other students are still present. Silfie ignores his warning completely, forcing Ard to get serious as he blocks her first attack. He immediately prepares to defeat her, but the fight is stopped by Lady Olivia, who reveals that the poison from Silfie's sword is causing all the students to lose consciousness.
Noticing the students, Silfie becomes upset, and Ireina walks over and starts scolding her — which reminds Silfie of Lydia and makes her burst into tears, just as she used to in the old days.
After the situation settles down, Ard stands in front of the class and tells everyone about the upcoming school festival, explaining that their class will be performing a play based on one of Demon Lord Varvatos's adventures. As he begins describing the story they will cover, he notices that three students are missing from the classroom, and then hears Silfie shouting out in the corridor.
He steps outside with a few other students, and they find Silfie arguing with three students from class A who have provoked her by calling her a commoner. When Ireina approaches them and asks them to be a little more humble, the class A students boast about themselves and claim that they will win the school festival. Ireina confidently answers that her class will put up a great fight, and the class A students leave the area. As she turns around, she notices her classmates smiling proudly at her, which gives her even more motivation to do well at the festival.
The class then resumes its meeting, and they decide that Ard will play the role of the demon lord, Ireina will play Lydia, and Silfie will play the evil god. Ard agrees to the roles, and then Jinny suggests adding a special theme to the event to attract more visitors and increase their profits. When she proposes a maid café theme, everyone in the class immediately cringes. Jinny goes on explaining her idea, and then shows everyone the costume designs, which leaves the girls even more embarrassed as they realize the outfits are far too revealing.
While the boys happily approve of the idea, the girls refuse to wear such costumes. Then Jinny plays her trump card, and points out that if they go with the theme, the girls will have the perfect chance to openly flirt with Ard and seduce him. Hearing that, the girls immediately change their minds, agree to the idea and decide to wear the costumes on the day of the school festival.
Even Ard is left helpless, realizing that he has no choice but to accept the plan if they want to win the prize and earn more profit — or perhaps he simply wants to be seduced by the girls.
The man who met Silfie in the alley watches the entire scene from outside the window, through the eyes of a crow, using magic, and laughs as he reveals himself to be a threat to Ard and the others.
