Chapter 16Anaesthetic, Pepper, Stun

At Ji Yansi's villa, Su Fu arrived carrying the little beauty, and all her babies were waiting for her with presents in their hands.

"Mommy," the little detective called.

Su Fu looked quite surprised.

The little detective handed something to his mom and told her that his daddy was upstairs, and that she should take this, and that it would be fine as long as she took the initiative to correct her mistake.

The little doctor told his mommy that a washboard was too hurtful, and that this was anaesthetic spray, and that was pepper spray, and that was hallucinogenic spray, and that was stun spray, and that one was calming spray.

He also gave his mom a micro camera and told her that his dad's anger index was very high and she absolutely had to take it, because then they would be able to help her in time.

The little painter told his mother that this was the family photograph, and that if she showed it to his father he certainly wouldn't be angry.

Su Fu took all of it and wondered how on earth she could be afraid of Ji Yansi, when she was good at self-defence. She told her little ones that none of this was going to be necessary and that nothing was going to happen that they needed to worry about.

Then she called out to Ji Yansi and tried to open the door — but the moment it opened somebody caught her by one arm and took her by the waist.

"What do you think you're doing?"

He carried her towards the bed, and once he had put her down on it he came over her and took her by the arms and began to smell her neck.

Later Su Fu had changed her clothes. She felt as though she had been used. He had not mentioned Shen Hu at all — and that only made her feel guilty and afraid of saying the wrong thing when she explained. She looked very sad, and her husband looked a little indifferent, and she wondered why she didn't just slip out of the room.

She told her husband that she would go and get something to eat, but he caught her by the arm and picked her up again, and laughed and asked her why — perhaps he hadn't fed her enough before? There was a strange smile on his face, and Su Fu looked a little sad, and thought that this man really did want his pride.

Then a small hand opened the door, and all the children came in to where their mom was. It startled Su Fu, and she told her husband to let go of her, because the children were right there — but the children pulled the door shut again and told their mom no, no, they weren't there at all, and went off laughing.

Su Fu said that the children were bullying their mom.

Then Ji Yansi took her by the chin and lifted her face a little and told her that he had something to do tonight, and that she had to wait for him for dinner, and that he didn't care who she made scandals with.

And he let her go.

He was very smart, Su Fu thought, and she wondered whether he could have guessed that her real purpose in all of it was to find something out. But could it be that he really couldn't see that she had only been fanning the flames to suppress Su Li's people and to frighten the Su family? He must have guessed everything. And if all those possibilities were ruled out, then it could only mean that he was jealous.

No way, she thought. How could he possibly be jealous over her? But if it wasn't jealousy, she really couldn't think of any other explanation, and she had better find some way to smooth things over first.

So she told him that as it turned out, the kitchen had everything you needed to make desserts, and she was going to go and do that in a little while; and with that, she would leave first.

Ji Yansi sat there, entirely calm on the outside, and said furiously that he suddenly wanted to kill Shen. If Yuanchen Entertainment went bankrupt tomorrow, he said, Shen would end up on the street, and he really would like to see it.

Then a phone rang, and he picked it up, and they told the president that the dinner that night was connected to their cooperation with Hanjia, and that the president of Hanjia hoped he would come as soon as possible.

Ji Yansi told them to go and ask her what she wanted.

Apparently, he thought, she preferred to trust Shen Hu rather than him. That was fine. He wanted to see how she would go on trusting that man when the man no longer had anything at all.

Shen, elsewhere, said that he didn't know why, but he always had the feeling that he was about to be condemned.
